Not So Great Wild Lodge - 2 hour wait for an English muffin! Most of the staff were very nice but struggled with routine questions and daily operations. We checked in and were told we had to go to the store for wolf ears but when I pointed out that other guests were receiving them at check in she says “oh yeah” and got me some. When we got to the water park there was hardly any seating so I went to ask about a cabana. I was told I had to all the way out to check in desk again. I did but when I got there they needed my credit card which they gave on file and linked to my wristband which they said is all I would need. I said please don’t make me go all the way back there and stand in line just to get my bag with my credit card just to rent a cabana. I finally asked for a supervisor and then she said oh you’re good. So we went and sat down in a cabana and were immediately approached by 3 staff members who asked if we rented it??! I then said the sign says I can scan the code and rent it and she said “oh those never work”?!? Not sure the cabana was worth $100 for half a day but it is what it is. The next morning I went to Dunkin to order an English muffin and a donut and it took 2 hours!! After going back and forth and checking several times I finally found a guy in a polo shirt with “director” on it abs asked if 2hours was the norm and he walked me favor to the still packed Dunkin and asked a guy to make my order. He finally did but I noticed he forgot the donut for my grand daughter. The supervisor walks up and I tell her and she pretty much accused me of trying to scam a donut?!? Like I’m going to wait 2 hours to scam a donut. No one ever apologized for the wait or offered a discount or anything. It seemed like it was pretty par for the course. I would highly recommend bringing your own breakfast or ordering super early because the wait times are insane. They only had 1 person working the outside pool bar and she said they called her in because nobody else showed up. It looks like most of the staff are working their butts off but they are overwhelmed. They either need more staff or better processes in place. It also seems like a good deal for the hotel rate but then they nickel and dime you for everything. This place could be great but it clearly needs new leadership.

A Truly Inclusive Resort Experience for Families with Wheelchairs and Special Needs Great Wolf Lodge Naples exceeded our expectations when it came to accessibility and special needs support. My daughter uses a wheelchair and is on the autism spectrum, so travel can often feel stressful—but here, we felt cared for every step of the way. Accessibility: The resort provides waterproof wheelchairs so guests can enjoy the water park fully, which was a game changer for us. The zero-entry pools and splash areas were easy for my daughter to access and gave her the chance to join in on the fun. Our accessible room was well-designed and comfortable, making downtime easy. Sensory-Friendly: The sensory guide available at check-in helped us navigate which areas might be overwhelming and which were calmer. Having that resource gave me confidence to plan our days in a way that worked for her needs. Dining: Food allergies are usually a huge stressor, but here the chefs personally came out to talk with us about dietary needs and made sure every meal was safe. That level of care is rare and so appreciated. We left feeling refreshed and grateful, because instead of worrying about logistics, we were able to make memories together. (Disclosure: I was hosted as part of my work as a travel writer, but this review is based entirely on our honest family experience.)

Not the Great Wolf Lodge of the Past. My family and I have been visiting Great Wolf Lodge for the past 20+ years and have never had a bad experience until this trip. Check in was fine, Cici was terrific and should be commended. We had 3 rooms. 12 people total. Let me start with, this place is busy. Unless their occupancy is significantly down, day passes should not be sold. Chairs were at a premium, places to sit and eat were not to be found and the waterpark was PACKED! Adults in the baby/toddler section riding the slides without a kid, the wave pool was madness. Lines from top to bottom on the bigger slides. Women running around with their entire behind out. They need a dress code policy regarding swimsuits. This isn’t enjoyable anymore. The need for more money has made it too chaotic to be fun for overnight guests. The lodge itself is nice, but feels more like a hotel than a lodge like the Williamsburg or Charlotte lodges feel. The rooms are nice and large. We did have one room that smelt like urine and I called to ask if they could come and re-mop. Nobody showed up. Later that night, we called down to ask for a couple of extra blankets and they never showed up. So customer service is a problem. Dinner…12 people $430.00. There is no signage telling you the price of the buffet, drinks are not included, and they literally bring you nothing, yet there is a tip line. It was all self serve unless you wanted alcohol, which we didn’t order. The food was dismal. Cold, very limited selection, and did I mention cold. All of it. My son did get some meatballs that he said were good. We had several that didn’t eat, several that got a plate and didn’t eat because it was cold, and a couple that ate what they could. I did speak to a manager and they brought the bill down to $171. I assure you, I still way over paid. This was not the visit I hoped when brining my grandchildren for the first time and we won’t come back to this location in the future.
