Last time I go I went in December 2024. Park itself is fun. Customer service lacks big time. Food is awful. Rude people work there. I had so many things go wrong, they gave me a free night. I’m using it in 2 weeks before school starts. I’ve been trying to reach them by phone to add two people to my reservation, but I never get through. Ever. I’ve waited over an hour a few times. I’ve called at different times. No one ever answers. Probably last time I’ll ever go to GWL. Even if they give me a whole year for free, I’d throw it away.

Worst stay ever BEWARE I booked this place for my sons 2nd birthday. I wanted to book a birthday package and I had questions about the hotel. I called the night of my booking and the phone just rings and rings. I tried calling the next day and again- no answer. This went on for a week before I messaged the GM of the hotel - he couldn’t even reply or apologize that I had to go to such lengths to reach someone but he had a manager call me pretty promptly. The manager apologized for the inconvenience of being able to reach no one at the property and was able to assist me with the birthday package and help me upgrade (for a fee). Fast forward to my arrival- no one is there to help you with your luggage at arrival. The place is a madhouse and when you get there, expect to wait in line a MINIMUM of 30 minutes to check-in. We got to our room and it was 86 degrees in our room. We lowered the temp of the thermostat , made sure cool mode was on and left our room immediately. When we got back 3 hours later, the room temp was 87 and HUMID. We called to have our room moved and SURPRISE- no one would answer the phones!! After the 5th call the lady who answered the phone tried to tell us there were no other rooms in the hotel. It was only 6PM. Was the hotel really gonna make US PAY to stay in a room that was 87 degrees ?? That’s a joke- you couldn’t pay me to do that! The manager called us back and moved us to another room- also 86 degrees. He didn’t seem shocked this room AC wasnt working either. He moved us to a third room (mind you, 2 kids, a baby and loads of luggage -we are spending our entire first night just moving rooms!!) third room ALSO SWELTERING it was almost laughable at this point. He took us downstairs to find us a 4th room , a completely different category than what we upgraded to. But we needed AC in the SUMMER of FLORIDA..so we took it. No compensation was offered and we were still charged our upgrade fee. After all was said and done they comped my sons birthday cake. LOL. The food was below sub par (except for the restaurant in which they lost our reservation for and ultimately seated us) On the day of check out I waited in line for 45 mins to check out until we just walked out. I called the change our card on file and no answer. There was like $50 that my card on file wasn’t approving for and they texted me about it for 3 weeks. Even after I already gave them a card via text. They STILL continued to message me every two days for weeks until I told them the ROOM IS PAID. Place seriously has to get it together. Yuck!! _

Taking our grandchildren and parents to the Naples property in early August. I already have a terrible vibe about this place. I followed the online directions to communicate a food challenge -- granddaughter has celiac disease and must avoid cross containation with gluten -- but to no avail. Each and every email bounced back as undeliverable. I called and listened to the truly awful jingle and sales pitch for 25 minutes before reaching a live person. He forwarded me to the Naples Lodge where I reached voicemail. Though I left a message asking someone to call me, I doubt I'll receive a call back. I've read too late about the terrible food -- already purchased the dining "deal" -- outrageous parking fee and that the pool doesn't open until 10 a.m. -- awfully late for young children who rise with the sun. Bah! I'm already regretting what I had hoped would be a fun adventure for our entire family as Club Med always has been. Live and learn. I fear this will be a costlly and frustrating experience. Great Wolf Lodge isn't good about communicating or being responsive to guests.
