Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

Big resort with tons to do. It was clean and nice except the hallway carpet had a smell. But the lobby and the apartment was nice and clean. Loved the pools and the waterpark.

Spacious rooms, but clogged bathtub and brown liquid coming out of bathroom floor I called maintenance supposedly clear the clogged and no one came the next day to clean the floor or to bring towels to replace the dirty ones from the floor.

Great condos Lovely condo resort, the apartments are huge with big modern kitchens, en suite bathrooms for each bedroom and comfy beds. I would suggest they're more like an air bnb than a hotel, for example house keeping will empty your trash every other day but not clean or make beds. They do provide towels and the beds are made up but you need to bring your own supplies of dishwasher tabs, washing powder etc - so long as you know this in advance they're wonderful. Parking is in your building and on your floor, so no need to cross through reception or wander corridors to get back after a long busy day (they're 20 mins from disneyworld and traffic was really easy). The waterpark was very busy but it was easter weekend and we still got beds, we just had to hunt (don't bother paying for vip, there's really no need). We will stay again next time we visit Orlando.

Loud Accommodations The resort grounds are lovely. The hotel room was spacious and clean. We stayed here while attending a cheer competition. Our room was the first room next to the corridor and breezeway connecting the buildings to the parking garages. It is extremely loud. You can hear people talking and the opening/closing of the large heavy doors that bang close every time someone enters the building. I have seen in other reviews that these rooms are sold to you as “upgrades” and that’s how it was given to us, as an upgrade from a 2 bedroom to a 3 bedroom (which we didn’t need). If you receive a room that is next to the breezeway be aware that you will not sleep well. It was unfortunate as my daughter had a cheer competition to compete at the next day.

The Aldi of Resorts The hotel is nice and the price is cheap; however, everything else is really lackluster. Our 3-bedroom suite had some housekeeping issues, the oven in the full kitchen did not work at all. Trying to contact the hotel for anything other than a reservation is an act of folly (we may have left an electronic). In fact, you cannot even use their webpages contact info, except to get a third party contact site with a special code from them. Oh, and the layout is a maze and some wings (J-wing) are not labelled. Oddly, they have a glass door in one hallway that shows you the parking garage, a sight that most hotels would keep separate from their interior. It's just odd, but meh.
