Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

Big resort with tons to do. It was clean and nice except the hallway carpet had a smell. But the lobby and the apartment was nice and clean. Loved the pools and the waterpark.

Longboard Restaurant and waitstaff While we were waiting for our room to be ready . 8/5/25. We went for appetizers and drinks at the Longboard. Winter was our server and she was friendly and super helpful. Ricky in the bar did not disappoint. Jonathan also came to check on us he was terrific. this team really turned our day around. There should ne more employees like these at Grove resort.

Place to disconnect from wifi since it has none Your Provider wifi does not get a signal, and hotel wifi is very poor. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are nice, but the building is so larger it feels like an office building. You will be charged 30 dollars a day for parking. Went off trip advisor reviews, but feel I could have found a better place.

Please don't! DON'T!! PLEASE DON'T! I come to Orlando twice a year like clock work (and have lived here years ago) and have never had an experience like this. There are so many amazing places around the area for a fraction of the price. I wanted to try a new place as I was bringing my extended family and thought the waterpark and additional kid friendly amenities would be a good idea. I WAS SOO WRONG. I know this is a long review but I implore you to read through. We had to wait 45 minutes to check in--not the worst thing but annoying when you're tired with kids. After we parked in the indoor garage, we started to feel a bit uneasy as the parking garage elevator was sketchy. After we exited the elevator, we had to go through almost half a dozen exterior metal doors before entering the wing where the room was. The doors are all worn making it feel like a prison rather than resort. When we got into the interior wing where our room was, the hallway carpet was in disrepair, paint was chipping, there was tape holding up broken parts of the doors--it was just really eerie and weird. Everything smelled like marijuana. The room itself is so deceiving. In photos, it looks clean and modern. In reality, it's so cheaply renovated--it's lipstick on a pig. When we entered the master bathroom, there was brown water seeping up from under the cheap, plastic floor tiles. We requested our room to be changed which they obliged. When we got to the new room, the floor was gritty, the towels were stained, there were blood stains on the duvet and the pillow cases in one of the rooms was covered in black soot. The ceiling fan strings were broken, the shower drain fell off--it was laughable. We had enough. I had booked the vacation package through Jetblue and they were so amazing and found us another hotel to check into the next morning. Even though we had already made plans to leave, the building alarm randomly going off at 7am frantically waking us up really put the icing on the cake. We spent one night at The Grove and honestly, if I could have left as soon as we got there, I would have. I have NEVER been the person to pack up and leave but the amount of money this place charges is nuts. There is $50 per day resort fee on top of a $29 per day parking fee. I'm not upset at fees, it's pretty standard BUT I refuse to let this place take another dime from me. It's actually unbelievable they have the audacity to charge as much as they do. The ONLY upside was that every employee I had interacted with was pleasant and accommodating. I feel sorry that they work for such a poorly run establishment. I wouldn't dream of entering the water at this place judging by the state of the room and hallways. If you are looking for something kid friendly, beautiful, organized, well run and CLEAN, I HIGHLY recommend the Sheraton Vistana Villages I-Drive. I stay here often and so grateful they saved us this trip!
