Louisville, Kentucky: Southern City with Legendary Sports Attractions on the Banks of the Ohio River

Sometimes referred to as the northernmost southern city, Louisville is located along the Indiana-Kentucky border on the banks of the Ohio River.

Another Louisville mainstay is the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, which offers a 30-minute guided tour of its famed baseball-bat-making operation. The 120-foot-tall Louisville Slugger stationed out front is billed as the largest bat in the world. In the museum, you can participate in interactive exhibits that take you inside the manufacturing process and even let you test out the latest line of bats inside Bud’s batting cage.

Very nice room, clean, with a good bed. Ample breakfast. The drains could be cleaned. A reasonable location at a reasonable price. Not much within 3 blocks, so you have to walk a bit further for food.

The room and hotel staff were great, and the breakfast offering was exceptional! The only downside was how much noise came in from the adjacent street due to the thin exterior walls/windows. Overall I might consider staying here again, but on the backside!

Older and just plan sticky feeling. To say this hotel is long in the tooth would be a compliment. The outside does not match the inside. The owners have spent no money painting or updating the rooms. The hallway carpets appear filthy. The lobby is also dreary. Luckily the room was clean. If you are single and reserve a king size bed there is a great chance you will get a corner room the size of a postage stamp with a connecting room. I switched to a room with 2 beds facing the back and it was better. DO NOT get a room facing Jefferson street as the hotel is very noisy. As a Diamond for life with Hilton this hotel does nothing to make you feel special. The beds and pillows are not standard Hampton Inn. The obligatory breakfast was minimal, no yogurt etc. just powdered eggs. This is not a hotel to take someone special. If you just need a room for around $100 near the action this is your hotel. Do not spend more. Avoid walking on Jefferson after hours as the block next to the hotel is dilapidated with a lot of street people asking for handouts. I saw a room on Kayak at the Hyatt 3 blocks down for the exact same price. I should of jumped on it.

Amazing customer service and staff Cannot say enough good things about this hotel and more importantly the staff. We had a crazy flight cancellation situation and I called the hotel regarding our situation. I believe I spoke to Ben who was soo helpful. When we finally arrived to the hotel Hannah was amazing. She checked us in quickly and without hassle. She went above and beyond to offer suggestions for dinner, local bars, and all with a smile after working what appeared to be a double shift.Thank you for all your assistance, would defintely return to this hotel if ever in Louisville again.

Smelly room. No maid service no functioning dead bolt door barely edible food The place is pretty rundown. My room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The dead bolt on the door didn’t function making it a safety issue. The every other day maid service was nonexistent. I had to put my overflowing trash out in the hall the food was edible at best but barely. It was less expensive than some so I guess you do indeed get what you pay for. Can not recommend this place
