Hotel at a Glance: Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe

Opened in January 2015, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe has made a noticeable entrance to the Tahoe community with live entertainment, a spectacular casino, and Hard Rock’s trademark music-themed decor and memorabilia. You’ll set up shop in a stylish guest room, which keeps you close to the lake and its popular outdoor activities.

  • Roll the dice: Dealers keep blackjack and roulette tables going into the wee hours at the onsite casino, which also features 500 high-tech video games.
  • Eat your heart out: Live music creates a chill atmosphere at Park Prime, where you can feast on lobster tails. At Fire Break, you can start the day with bananas-foster waffles.
  • Grab a drink at Center Bar, open 24/7.
  • Breakout artists perform live tunes at the onsite bars nearly every weekend.

South Lake Tahoe, California: Year-Round Haven for Outdoor Adventures and Late-Night Revelry

Lake Tahoe has no real off-season; people find ways to make use of its pristine water, beaches, and mountains all year long. In the summer, the lake’s clear, freshwater surface—which straddles the California-Nevada border—is dotted with swimmers, boaters, and jet skiers. Several ski resorts with world-class slopes typically stay open from November to April, and Emerald Bay State Park is accessible year-round. A moderately easy hike to the base of Lower Eagle Falls reveals breathtaking views of the waterfalls crashing down from above.

A diverse crowd of spectators gathers at night for South Lake Tahoe’s various events, which range from wine and food festivals to rock concerts and fireworks displays. A few miles northwest of South Lake Tahoe sits Stateline, Nevada, where a handful of casinos host high-stakes games of blackjack and solitaire.

We absolutely love staying at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. The only problem we had this last visit was because of the extreme weather condition there was no access to Tahoe. When I asked Groupon about a possible refund or chance of changing the date of my groupon they did nothing. I will not buy another travel offer from Groupon!!
