The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Head to LINQ Promenade for a shopping and dining experience, then ride atop the High Roller observation wheel. Thanks to the strip’s re-creation of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and the Roman Empire at Caesars Palace, you can virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

Screwed in Vegas! We forgot a bag with label GG POKER on it. We realized as the taxi was taking our luggage out that we didn't have the bag. Went back to HARRAHS. Asked the man that was putting luggage in a room for people who needed to have luggage stored. he shook his head & walked over & unlocked room where luggage was stored. Told him we didn't store any luggage. Smiled & came back & said it wasn't there. He acted sheepish. Please note, there was NO way to get a hold of Harrahs because the only numbers we could find took you to booking & not on sight. My son played in the WSOP Main Event. He lost everything he received from playing. We have NO proof of what happened to our bag. What we do know is someone is selling the item's that were in that bag. Yes I know, we forgot it.

Price gouged for basic toiletries Pros - Location, check-in kiosks, upgraded room had a nice view. Cons - My biggest peeve, when I asked for complimentary toiletries (dental and shaving kits) at the check in desk, I was told they don't provide that, and was pointed across the hall to the little shop, literally 10 feet across from the check-in desk. Where I was gouged for $32 and got 1 toothpaste, 1 toothbrush, and 1 razor. I decided not to pay another $10 for shaving cream and just use hair conditioner. This is supposed to be a 3 star hotel. It was the first time in my life that I had to pay for such items, and I travel frequently as a Marriott Titanium and Hilton Diamond. Their "Garden" room level is right next to a bunch of large loud industrial AC stacks, no garden in sight. I had to pay $20 per night to get away from that nonsense to a higher floor.

It’s a ok hotel but great location The hotel is ok kind and run down. Any request you to really follow up continues to get the service delivered. One day my room wasn’t cleaned I continually followed up but still didn’t happen. Upon returning back call housekeeping and atleast requested to get fresh towels that also took 1.2 hours to come after a follow up call. Booked for a room facing strip and got the room facing mechanical view upon asking the reception said it is strip view partially, which can be seen in the picture I have added.

Horrible First Vegas Stay First time to Vegas and experience at Harrah’s was one of the worst experiences in all of our years of travel. First room had hairs in the bathroom and the water pressure was so low that it would have taken an hour to try and wash my hair, easily. The outlets were jammed against the bed and unusable - I had to plug my phone in across the room. And the air conditioner barely cooled the room. Tried to overlook this but then we had the most horrendous neighbors - they were so loud it sounded like they were in the room with us. Harrah’s moved us to a second room the next day as the party continued next door (screaming, swearing and music blaring). Second room had the most HORRIBLE smell. The husband tried multiple times to have someone come to try and clean and spray the room. No one showed up. When I returned to the room (after a long conference day and did not know room had smell, only that we moved), I was overwhelmed by the smell. It was so awful. After my husband explained how many times he called, I also called down and was told to go to the front desk to get a new room as no one was coming to fix the issue. Assigned a third room and this one also had a smell but not as horrible as the last and we were tired of moving so stuck it out for the next two nights. No housekeeping either - you had to call to request if you wanted it. We resorted to just getting fresh towels when we saw housekeeping in the hallway. The icing on the cake though was that we requested late check out, paid for late check out (4pm was the time we were told we when checked in,) and then on our last day when we tried to get back in our room at 2:30, our keys were disabled! We had to have housekeeping let us in and once in immediately called the front desk. They didn’t seem to care, since housekeeping let us in, and also stated they couldn’t do anything about it (even though they confirmed we indeed had late check out). My husband asked to talk to a manager, which was denied, but was told they would get a return phone called within 24-48 hours. This obviously doesn’t do anything for us and we had to basically stay in our room until 4 since we were now locked out. All three rooms were very worn and the amenities were cheap. When went to checkout, we explained our disappointment and all that had happened during our 3 night stay - all that was offered was one night resort fee returned. Gee, thanks so much. We would have thought at the very least, the late check out charge should be reimbursed seeing how we ended up being locked out and then basically needing to stay in the room until our 4pm checkout (as we would not be able to get back in ). Nope! Just the $28 resort fee. Never again and will never recommend. P.S. my husband is still waiting for a call from the manager!
