Harrah's Tunica - Tunica Resorts

Stay at Harrah’s Tunica in Robinsonville, MS

Sprawling Casino Resort Close to Memphis

Drive 20 minutes south of Memphis and you can’t miss it: Harrah’s Tunica, a giant casino and hotel complex, is lit up with pink spotlights and glowing neon. It stands out like a mini Vegas in the countryside; in fact, Harrah’s Tunica is the biggest casino resort you can find from Las Vegas to Atlantic City. It has three giant hotel towers, and a 24/7 shuttle runs from the towers to the on-property Harrah’s casino, also open 24 hours a day.

In the 140,000-square-foot casino, there are more than 2,000 slots, including high-payout slots, as well as 60 table games such as blackjack, poker, and craps. Check out the revolving events calendar and you’ll find daily poker tournaments and live entertainment. The complex has multiple restaurants onsite, too, including the over-the-top Paula Deen's Buffet, which offers rich southern cuisine in a setting designed to look like the celebrity chef’s house and kitchen.

You can play a round at The Links at Cottonwoods, the onsite 18-hole championship golf course set among three lakes.

As part of this package, you’ll stay in either the Casino tower, located adjacent to and within walking distance of Harrah’s casino, or the Veranda tower, which looks out over the rolling hills of the golf course.

Robinsonville, Mississippi: Casino-Resort “Town” On the Mississippi

On the shores of the Mississippi River, right on the border of Arkansas and Mississippi, Robinsonville is not a town in the classic sense of the word. Alternatively, the town is simply called Tunica Resorts—there are nine casino resorts in this area, making it the third-largest gambling vacation spot in America and the clear focal point of visitors’ vacations. The town’s name was changed from Robinsonville in 2003 to help tourists find their way to the gaming tables.

If you know any die-hard Elvis fans, Robinsonville is just a 30-minute drive away from Graceland, Elvis Presley’s mansion and museum. Memphis is also just 30 minutes away, close enough for a quick day trip. Memphis is famous for its blues music; B. B. King, Elvis Presley, and Muddy Waters are just some of the many musicians who made their names in Memphis blues clubs. Excellent live music can still be heard nightly on Beale Street, both on the street itself and inside its many clubs. For soul music, visit the Stax Museum of American Soul Music—it resides in the former location of Stax Records, where artists such as Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding, and Sam & Dave once recorded.
