Hi Tide was spacious and had a beautiful ocean front view where you can see the waves crashing from the balcony. The rooms are also well equipped with 2 forms of heat, tons of kitchen utensils and plenty of amenities for dogs. The decor made us feel we were traveling back in time but it provided everything we needed for our vacation. Plus they make fresh cookies every night, what a bonus!

Seaside, Oregon: Coastal Beauty Surrounding a Family-Friendly Town

Located along Oregon’s Pacific coast, about 80 miles northwest of Portland, the resort town of Seaside has attracted beachcombers since the late 19th century. More recently, the coastal village has become a family destination marked by historical buildings, tree-lined boulevards, and plenty of kid-friendly activities, including mini golf, bumper cars, and arcades.

A 1.5-mile oceanfront promenade—known locally as the Prom—stretches along the beach, its boardwalk speckled with shops and restaurants near grass-covered dunes. Along the Prom, you’ll find a bronze statue of Lewis and Clark that faces the ocean at the historic Seaside Turnaround—the spot where the explorers are thought to have ended their epic westward trek. The Seaside Aquarium is also located along the promenade. Pop in to visit its aquatic residents, including a giant Pacific octopus, tropical fish, and several crowd-pleasing harbor seals.

For spectacular ocean views, journey a few miles south of town to the rainforest-covered Tillamook Head, a promontory point that towers 1,000 feet above the craggy coastline. Open year-round, a moderate, 3.6-mile roundtrip hike leads to the summit.

Hi Tide is our go to for The Oregon Coast. We always get a King bed Ocean view, pet friendly room with fireplace and kitchenette. Their service is great and the location can't be beat. Whether it is December, January or February we always come here. Great restaurants are close by and there is lots to do.

Okay, a little expensive. Okay place. Farther from Broadway than I thought it was. View rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors are more expensive but the view from the balcony is very good. Wasn't really warm enough to spend much time there. Room was fine but housekeeping came at about 10:30 the first morning. We were still there and asked if he could come back in a half hour. He never came back and no one came to clean the next morning either. Received a small credit when I checked out. Room was spacious and had a gas fireplace and a kitchenette. Smallest tv I have seen in a hotel room in some time. Breakfast in the office is a very small space and didn't have any hot food. Only went there for coffee. Will stay at the Promenade Inn (the old Shilo) next time.

Value-- with a View! Very good value for what we paid. You can't beat the location (right on the boardwalk)-- for the proice! The staff was super nice/helpful-- interacted w/ front desk several times. Yes, the rooms are a bit tired-- but BIG, clean, linens were fresh/newish, bed comfortable... w/ a handy small kitchen, and fireplace, too! AND-- who doesn't like free taffy and fresh cookies at the front desk! May be nicer hotels in area, but hard to beat the value and friendly service/staff here, IMO. Would stay here again.

A great getaway We loved the Hi-tide! The staff was so friendly and the little extras including the welcome cookies were a nice added touch. The room was a little dated, but wow the view was incredible and it was a stones throw from the beach that we played on all day. We wish we had more time here, and will definitely come back!
