Orlando, Florida: World-Famous Theme Parks and Cultural Surprises

Located in the center of Florida, Orlando may be forever associated with the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks—the world’s most-visited entertainment resort. Spanning roughly 30,000 acres, it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. Walk across the park to sample Moroccan cuisine for lunch, or ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. Before heading back to the hotel, take in the nightly fireworks, laser, and water show. One of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is also home to Universal Orlando—which includes The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—SeaWorld, and Gatorland.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which hosts family-friendly improv shows five nights a week.

The hotel is very nice and the staff if great. Very convent to palm parkway. However, they charge $20 a night parking. This is something that is not mentioned in the Groupon and because we each came in from another area. We had come in 2 cars meaning $40 a night in parking. What a scam. Stay away

Hidden fees There was very little water pressure making it hard to shower. Also, we were unaware of the $27 a day parking fee. This fee was charged to credit card upon checkout, then a week later we received a parking invoice stating we owed $75 for not paying the fee. This is unacceptable. Hilton needs to do better. Will not be staying there again!

Hotel Option! This hotel is ideally situated close to dining establishments and retail outlets, several other hotels and is not far from International Drive, which is the reason we chose to stay here. However, we ended up checking out early due to the fact that only one elevator was operational, the hallways were excessively hot, and the hotel was dirty. Throughout our entire stay, the elevators were dirty with hand prints, footprints and a dirty floor which were all visible in the elevator. Is this a Hilton Garden Hotel or a Motel 6? The customer service was abysmal; when we went to the desk regarding our air conditioning not working , the gentleman informed us that the maintenance staff was busy and that he could take a message for them. I have never encountered such a response before; the gentleman had braids and was wearing a pink polo shirt on the evening we inquired about the malfunctioning air conditioning in our room. Another problem we faced was being double charged, and when we spoke to Oscar, he was so unhelpful and seem clueless. Please ensure that your staff is adequately trained to handle customer issues appropriately. Due to all these problems, we checked out early and relocated to the Aloft, which proved to be a worthwhile decision.

Great Hotel near WDW Ground floor room, Desk staff awesome. Room and hotel are not new, but it felt new. Value was awesome as well. Breakfast buffet a bit predictable but good. It helps if you are Hilton status. I was very surprised at the 27 dollar parking fee per day and it didn't matter about status or not. I did negotiate it to be dropped which they did. The location is ideal for theme park visits but someone visiting for business or family should stay away from this area.
