San Francisco’s Union Square: Luxury Shopping District with Broadway Shows

Union Square is where San Franciscans go to find their coolest threads. The Square, which has grown to include several surrounding blocks, houses one of the country’s densest concentrations of department stores and upscale boutiques. It’s conveniently located in the heart of downtown, accessible via the Powell Street cable car.

Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macy’s anchor its namesake plaza, and a new Bloomingdale’s was recently installed at the Westfield San Francisco Centre. There are smaller boutiques and independent clothiers here as well—you’ll find them tucked away on narrow alleyways. Sift through vintage books at family-owned antique shops, or admire iconic French fashion labels on the pedestrian-only Maiden Lane.

Union Square is also famous for its eclectic arts scene. The American Conservatory Theater produces Tony Award–winning dramas and comedies in a gorgeous Beaux-Arts building. And a handful of art galleries and museums—most notably the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art—display renowned works from artists such as Henri Matisse, Andy Warhol, and Edward Hopper.

Terrrible experience, a shelter!!! Terrible, we buy the room with expedia, and the hotel send a confirmación that confirm the reservation, room location e very thing, we arrive and found that the hotel was. A shelter. Full of polices man, one lady screaming that we need to go elsewhere, and we have no place to go. There was nothing on their website that says that they were not prepare to receive guests, they do confirm the reservation and i have the emails to probe it. No apólogies on an email or even a call. We need to round antiheroica place after two house looking with no help from no one. We call despedía and they comfirm that this hotel was ok and they have no idea what hallen, the. The expedía membresía call back and confirm that día ahítelo was clase as a shelter and they never ley them know. It was terrible to have no place to go in. A Foreign country. And this hotel still have not do any thing? It is not about the money refound with expedia. It is about emphaty. It is about trust and It is about Being honest. I experience a terrible night, and you dond care, you do that care now. You lié, you send the email comfirming the reservation. What you are going to do now? Should i call my last and tell them about the terrible night that i spend and what you did yo me and my mother?

Great hotel - beware the city Lovely hotel but listen very carefully. The city is full of homeless people who are violent. There is human excrement all over the streets and heroin needles to step on. If you want to visit an American city - go elswhere.

Great Staff and Location I really enjoyed my stay here. Above everything, it was the staff that made my stay so pleasant. They were friendly, professional, efficient and made me feel so welcome. As far as the rooms they are a great value for San Fransisco. SF is expensive and in this price range, you can't do better for the accommodations and location.
