Baltimore, Maryland: World-Class Museums and Historic Waterfront Neighborhoods

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor—a busy port that was redeveloped as a tourism district in the mid-20th century—has become one of the city’s best-known and most beloved landmarks. Water taxis ferry visitors from one historic, cultural, or family-friendly attraction to another. Sites along the routes include the star-shaped Fort McHenry (where US forces repelled the British during the War of 1812, inspiring Francis Scott Key to write “The Star-Spangled Banner”) and restaurants where you can sample the city’s famous crab cakes.

You’ll find several unique museums here, too, from the National Aquarium—which houses more than 16,000 sea creatures in realistic habitats—to the wonderfully oddball American Visionary Art Museum, one of the country’s leading institutions for outsider art. For a stunning view of the skyline, the Inner Harbor, and Chesapeake Bay, head up to the 27th floor of the Baltimore World Trade Center, where you can see the city from 360 degrees at the observation deck.

Go somewhere else The staff were okay. Hotel it self was a jumbled mess. No real check in desk just a messy bunch of folding tables. Hallways smelled like smoke. They charged my card a $282 deposit fee(was told it was only $200). They send it would pend and I would get it back. We stayed 2 nights it pended then hit my card for the $282 I haven't gotten it back even though I have tried multiple times to reach out to this Hotel. This in not on my back as I have been told by the company who says they can't do anything about it. I would stay far away from this place.

Like sleeping in a warehouse Let me start by saying the staff were polite and the valet guys were awesome, other than that: No bureau, no chair, no amenities. The bed was comfortable & clean and why not? It was the only thing in there! With the high ceiling it was like staying in a frozen food warehouse. The street noise was terrible. On the 8th floor from 1:00-3:00am fights, (possible gunfire) and hearing some sort of security yelling to go home! Scary & awful. Maybe a review of the city as much as the hotel but when I do travel back to visit… oh wait … no! Never going back.

Game Time Lobby was very depressing. Rooms were clean although somewhat unfinished, cabinet in bathroom was all chipped paint. No ice bucket or ice available. Soda machine did not work took your bill and gave it all back in change
