Fabulous three nights stay We spent here 3 nights at the end of August. Central location on Mag Mile. Walking distance to Navy Pier, The Loop and all Chicago attractions. Convenient price for Chicago. We loved our room at 16th floor. There is a bar/restaurant inside the hotel (Nora). We had breakfast each morning with coffee, hot tea, croissant and yogourt with fruit and granola. Staff is superfriendly and can help you whatever you need: they even arrange for my family transfer and tickets for White Sox game. The only downside is the elevator (too slow) We highly recommend this hotel for couples or families with children.

Chicago's Magnificent Mile: Upscale Boutiques and Historic Architecture

On Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, landmark skyscrapers such as the John Hancock Center and the Wrigley Building tower over the city's liveliest retail corridor. In total, this stretch of high-end real estate houses some 460 stores, ranging from exclusive designers such as Armani and Chanel to beloved brands including Apple, American Girl, and Gap. Double-decker buses and horse-drawn carriages circle the Chicago Water Tower, a limestone icon that survived the Great Chicago Fire, and droves of shoppers navigate eight levels of boutiques and cafés at the nearby Water Tower Place.

Lake Shore Drive runs two blocks east of Michigan Avenue. Travel + Leisure calls this stretch “the greatest architecture road on earth” thanks to the superstar skyscrapers lined up along the lakefront. Looming above them all, of course, is the Willis Tower (formerly known as the Sears Tower)—the second-tallest building in the country. Runners and cyclists travel the adjoining Lakefront Trail throughout the year. A mile and a half north, crowds gather at North Avenue Beach during the summer to people watch, play volleyball, and listen to live music at beachfront bars. You can get to the beach (and practically anywhere else in the city) using Chicago's extensive public transportation system.

Start of route 66 Wow we got a great welcome by Guss at reception at 9am it made a pleasant change. The location was great we had a lovely contently breakfast. The room was very smart and clean and comfortable. The only thing that could've been improved are the lifts which are very slow. The manager does a great job at training his staff and we thank you

We enjoyed this hotel. I don’t know who is hiring the staff here, but they are nailing it! Every staff member we encountered was efficient, polite and so patient. Shout out to Ebony and Jayla who were the absolute best! The rooms were clean, the location was right in the center of restaurants and attractions and we had a wonderful time. We will be back.

Great Location! Tremendous location near the Magnificent Mile, Chicago River, The Pier, The Art Institute, Trader Joe’s and the L. Hotel is clean and functional. Customer service very good. Beds were comfy and room clean. Rooms are small but considering that I basically slept in it and was out most of the day it was fine. Good price considering location.

TERRIBLE!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I normally do not write reviews like this, but I don't want anyone else to experience this ! I booked for 2 nights and skipped my second night to stay someplace safer and cleaner. The walls are thin, we heard people fighting thru the night, and the front desk would not answer our calls. The sink would not drain (so gross), the bathroom is the size of a large dog kennel, and NOTHING separates the toilet from the "shower area" which is simply a hand held shower wand that has ZERO water pressure and ZERO heat to it ! Two drains in the floor....one in front of the toilet and the other in the floor of the alleged shower. There is ZERO space in the room we 4 stayed in - I reserved 2 Queens but the beds actually were Doubles. The place was noisy, the elevator is tiny (think EU size), and we wound up taking the stairs after waiting 10 mins. We heard fighting and screaming in the hotel (thin walls!!!) and called the front desk multiple times to report but the staff never answered. We felt very unsafe, from the moment we arrived. Had we not traveled all day and checked in so late (after 11:00 PM) we would have never stayed the night. We wanted to stop at the desk to request a refund the next morning, but a staff member was arguing with an elderly couple and refusing to refund them, as they had the same complaints as me. It was a terrible experience.
