This place is DUMP! Holes in the walls, mold all over (walls/ceiling in the bedroom and bathroom) Water damage on the room walls. Parking at the hotel is $52 PLUS tax and tip. The room was TINY, nothing like the photo. They refused to let us change rooms unless we paid to upgrade (There should be no extra change to not have a moldy nasty room!). This should NOT be on Groupon; we took photos of everything and set it in to get our money back. Groupon was great and refunded our money; I hope they don't book anymore people at this hotel. We were in California on a road trip from San Diego to San Francisco and back and this was out hotel while in San Francisco; it was the only dump we stayed at the whole week of our vacation and was a true disappointment.

San Francisco’s Union Square: Luxury Shopping District with Broadway Shows

Union Square is where San Franciscans go to find their coolest threads. The Square, which has grown to include several surrounding blocks, houses one of the country’s densest concentrations of department stores and upscale boutiques. Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Macy’s anchor its namesake plaza, and smaller boutiques are tucked along narrow alleyways. Shoppers can sift through vintage books at family-owned antique shops and admire iconic French fashion labels on the pedestrian-only Maiden Lane. Clean, and quiet stay in SF. I stayed at this hotel for a week. Although the area close to the hotel is rough, the people never bothered me. Jasper’s Restaurant was great. There is a convenience store across the street that has a good selection. Hotel Spero is close to a couple of the main streets. I enjoyed walking to the AMC that’s about 15 minutes away. I would stay at this hotel again no problem.

Great location! Great Hotel! Great location just two blocks west of Union Square. Hotel was clean and the King Room on the 9th floor was exceptionally quiet. They offer filtered drinking water in the lobby if you don’t want it from the tap, and have Coffee and Tea in the morning. House Keeping was excellent, and the room was a decent size for San Francisco. The TV was good and the room had a fridge and safe. Bathroom was small but good. Never really had to wait much for the elevator, Jasper’s had a great deal on happy hour appetizers. Lots of Restaurants in the area. The only issue I could see was the exterior windows were quite dirty, but this did not impact the great time I had in the city. I know some may be concerned about homeless in the area as it’s definitely prevalent in Union Square. I could see issues if you travelled west or immediately South of the hotel, but this would take you away from the Traditional tourist areas. We never needed to go these directions, and we never encountered an issue with any homeless in the area anyway.
