Urban Hospitality The property was beautiful and well kept. I
Initially ran into issues with check in because I used a third party booking site, but Delisha was masterful in helping us to check in and get into a better room than we expected.
The rest of the staff was responsive and kind. The property is in a prime location and you can get to wherever you have to go within a reasonable timeframe. This trip took me into both Maryland and Virginia and I was able to get to each of my destinations within 45 min.
Highly recommend Hotel Zena DC as a great option that won’t have you breaking the bank.

Delightful and cool! I recommend:) Really nice hotel in a great location. Everyone that worked here was so nice and helpful! In particular, Delisha helped me out at check-in, which was wonderful after traveling all day. Thank you!
Comfy beds, decent gym, fun rooftop with outdoor pool and bar, Keurig and mini fridge in the room.
The downstairs bar (Figleaf) was a super cool and comfortable place to hang out too. Good drinks, tasty food, lovely staff.

Cute but … not 5 stars imo New hotel. Unique and cutesy - with women shoes as decor and snail shaped shower. Clean. Walking distance to major sights in DC. Convenient store just opposite the road. Souvenir store close by.
But… there are certain practices I wished I didn’t have to have to face as a hotel guest which made this stay a 4 star stay.
1. I wish we didn’t have to eat in the hotel lobby for breakfast cos the dining area was let out for another event.
2. the breakfast offering via GHA titanium privileges is basically a like a $20 discount that doesn’t get you a hot meal + drink. Be prepared to top up or eat elsewhere.
3. The initial confusion whether breakfast was included or not in my reservation and being asked to pay extra for a 2 hour earlier check in left me feeling like the GHA recognition is either rare or not really practiced in this hotel. 4. room is on the small side. Isn’t a lot of space for large luggage.
5. Since the room was booked and paid for 3, then wouldn’t it make sense to include sufficient sets of amenities for 3 upfront? Like towels, bath robes, waters? I wished I didn’t have to ask for these things.
6. Not a fan of +++ practice of taxes that add up 25% on top of room rate in my case. Maybe the +++ add on is a cultural case of it’s a DC practice. All in all, hotel Zena was… alright. Staff was friendly and we did enjoy the short stay we had in DC. being close enough to walk or Lyft to major sights worked out well for us.

Loved it! I really enjoyed my stay at hotel Zena. I went with two toddlers. The suite was plenty of room for us to eat relax and enjoy. In addition, we were able to get a microwave. The rooftop pool was a huge hit with the kids and is a very nice and relaxing place. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond. The bartender on the fourth floor is amazing. Would definitely stay there again.
