Lovely experience staying in this hotel over New Year We arrived 26/12 and stayed till 2/1. The reception was very welcoming and the room even though looked over the city still had some good views. The room was sufficient for what we wanted as spent a lot of time out sightseeing. Our cleaner was very patient as sometimes we hadn’t gone out but she came back and did a very good job, sorry can’t remember her name. Did not have room service but did request ice for the ice bucket which came within a reasonable time. Would have liked to used the roof top bar but was closed. When we returned home I realised I had left some garments in the drawer and emailed the hotel. I would just like to say the customer service received from Paul Beatty, Loss Prevention Manager was excellent and am really pleased with the outcome. He deserves an employee of the month award if that is something that the hotel does. Would recommend staying here if you are going to NY.

Park Lane on Central Park South We were supposed to have two breakfasts included with each room, but nobody told us that only if you had breakfast in the rooftop area would that apply. Not knowing that we had breakfast in the main breakfast area and ended up having to pay for it. Not happy. Also the curtain keeping the sunlight out of the room was cheap and broke twice during our 5 day stay.

Nice enough, but don’t be in a hurry to get away The Park Lane is in a great location and, if you pay enough, you can have a wonderful view of Central Park, the duck pond, the skating rink, and beyond. The rooms are clean and well-appointed. However, the elevator system is horrible. It is possible to wait 15 minutes to get from an upper floor to the lobby. Time to overhaul the system so it works properly.
