This groupon was a getaway for just my boyfriend and I. We loved the room and it's private balcony with a view of the ocean, and especially how quiet and peaceful it was during our early October mid-week stay! We would definitely stay again with another Groupon offer!

Cape May, New Jersey: Seaside Resort Town with Victorian Architecture

Long billed as America’s oldest seaside resort, Cape May sits at New Jersey’s southernmost tip. The setting is so idyllic that Travel Channel named the town’s coastline 1 of the top 10 beaches in the country. Aside from beachcombing, popular pastimes here include fishing, whale watching, and bird watching. In fact, the New York Times called Cape May “one of North America’s hottest birding spots.” You might see bald eagles, herons, and woodcocks. In the spring, keep your eyes peeled for the latter’s intricate mating dance.

After a fire ravaged most of Cape May in 1878, residents rebuilt in the contemporary style of the time, and dozens of their stately Victorian homes remain standing today. Consequently, the Cape May Historic District has earned the distinction of being a National Historic Landmark. Horses and carriages tour the colorful, cottage-lined streets, which have been deemed off-limits to chain stores in order to preserve the classic small-town atmosphere. Along Delaware Bay stands the 1859 Cape May Lighthouse. Those who climb the tower’s 199 stairs are rewarded at the top with an unbeatable view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Great Week at Icona Diamond Beach! Just finished a wonderful week at the hotel. We stayed in a premium suite with a queen and full bed in the bedroom and a comfortable new pullout couch in the living room. The bathroom is small but new all around. Fine for our family of four (two teens.) Our only complaint was the air conditioner. So loud it made it impossible to sit on balcony unless you turn the system off. Balcony is small with a peek a boo view of the ocean. We were on the opposite side of the pool which I recommended as it’s definitely quieter. You risk the chance of no view on the lower floors near the pool for the same price which is crazy. Ask for a high floor with room closer to the water. Pool area was ok and fun for the kids. It’s clean and you can order a drink and some food from the restaurant. Ate at the restaurant one night, food was very good and priced right. They also will deliver to your room! Good Coffee and ice cream shop next door. Try the Jamaican me Hungry restaurant a block away. Very good food. Not many restaurants near by but plenty in Cape May. Make reservations before you arrive. This is the nicest hotel in the Crest by far. The beach is nice, they set up chairs and umbrellas for you. Some chairs though have seen better days! Star bar on the beach is a good break from the sun. Live music. Service at hotel was attentive and valet a breeze. Close enough to the boardwalk for a night if you have to, but far enough away from from the craziness! If you are looking to come to the Crest this is the place. Might be more expensive but if you want a clean hotel, on the beach away from Wildwood and closer to Cape May, this is it.

Best Hotel Ever! Me and my two girlfriends stayed here this past weekend for a little getaway. Everything was absolutely amazing. The hotel was stunning. Super clean and beautiful and new. The restaurant coastal blue was amazing. We tried it for breakfast lunch and dinner. The star beach bar was a lot of fun with different music each night. Although I wish the music stayed on a little later it was still a lot of fun. The private beach was clean and awesome. The entire staff from checkin to check out was super friendly and nice. One particular waitress Jordyn definitely stuck out as she gave us so many helpful hints in things to do in the area and she was just awesome. I will 100% be back here again.
