The place was beautiful! The suite was amazing! It had 2 bathrooms so we were able to be to dinner on time. The staff was excellent. For some reason my reservation was not transferred over to their system. All I had was confirmation that the room had been purchased. Charles, the manager, did not stop until he found my reservation. I will be going back from now on.

New Orleans, LA: Where History Marches to the Beat of Jazz

New Orleans, a city unlike any other, stands as a living museum of American history, rhythm, and resilience. Nestled along the crescent bend of the Mississippi River, this legendary Louisiana metropolis is a cultural confluence where French, Spanish, African, and Creole influences have shaped centuries of architecture, music, and cuisine. With its cobblestone streets, gaslit balconies, and storied neighborhoods like the French Quarter and Garden District, New Orleans bears the grandeur of a bygone era while pulsing with the unmistakable energy of modern life. From the echoes of brass bands parading through Jackson Square to the solemn beauty of its historic cemeteries, the city embodies a soul that is at once reverent and revolutionary.

Yet beyond its picturesque façades lies a city constantly in motion. New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz and the heart of Mardi Gras—celebrations that are not merely events, but expressions of identity passed down through generations. Culinary traditions here are as deep as its river—gumbo, jambalaya, and po’boys crafted with care and history. Whether you're gliding on a steamboat under the shadow of the Crescent City Connection or exploring the haunting beauty of bayous nearby, New Orleans invites travelers to not just witness its story, but to become part of it. This is not merely a destination—it is a deep, rhythmic experience that leaves an indelible mark on every visitor.

A great weekend get-away. We stayed at the InterContinental New Orleans in late July and had an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and efficiently checked in by Ludovica, who made us feel immediately at home after a long day of travel. We had lunch in the hotel restaurant and were served by Steve, whose friendly attitude and attentive service set the tone for our visit. Later, we had a great chat with Assistant Manager Mark, who was both personable and genuinely interested in making sure everything about our stay was perfect. Concierge Billy went above and beyond—he managed to secure us last-minute reservations at a fully booked restaurant, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Throughout our stay, Breanna and the front desk team sent helpful text messages checking to see if we needed anything or if all was going well—a thoughtful touch that really stood out. Every interaction reflected a staff that takes real pride in their work. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and ideally located, but it’s the people who made this visit special. We had an excellent stay and will definitely return on our next visit to New Orleans!

Stay away Stay away. Got a ton everything seemed ok at first. Then at 5am I tried to take a shower, no water comes out of my shower at all. Go to the front desk to get someone to fix it. The hostess on (10/11/25 at 4-5am) was extremely rude. I told her about my issue and when I asked how did they clean the tub without water? She decided that was rude of me and tried to make it a me issue instead of a let's fix this issue. Eventually I said just send someone to my room at 9am to look at it we have a wedding and we need the shower fixed. I told her 3 separate times I need the engineer at 9am so not to wake my wife. She immediately sent an engineer at 5am to wake my wife and do plumbing. I am still livid.

Great Hotel With Even Better Service Let me start with saying that I am a Ambassador member so I do frequent Intercontinental hotels. Room: 4/5 I was upgraded to a balcony room being an ambassador member. The room was nice and clean. I was greeted with fresh fruit and 2 huge cookies. This is the first Intercontinental that I've ever ran into this. It was very nice. I also was allowed to check-in super early which is nice also. Because I know this is not always a guarantee so this was nice. My only complaint is upgrade the cable or make it to where you can cast on the TV. Service 5/5 I was given VIP service from check in to check out. Every employee smiled and was very kind and acknowledged me through out my stay. I even saw an employee getting cussed out by another guest and they were nice and calm. Location 5/5 I believe this location is perfect. Your in the middle of everything but also off the path if that makes sense. Overall: This is a great hotel with great service. The only complaint is really the cable. When I go visit an Intercontinental the way I was treated here should be the norm.
