The hotel staff is friendly and accommodating.

Modern hotel located in California's scenic Tri-Valley and just a short drive from Oakland, San Francisco, and the Bay Area

What You Get

  • Stay for two in a king room, or four in a double-queen room, king suite, or double-queen suite

Hotel at a Glance: La Quinta Inn & Suites Dublin - Pleasanton

Located in the center of the Tri-Valley area and neighboring Bay area, Dublin's La Quinta Inn & Suites serves as a home base for travelers as they explore the scenic beauty and cultural marvels the Tri-Valley and it's three cities have to offer.

  • A different kind of trail: If hiking and biking isn't your thing, the Tri Valley is home to nearly 60 wineries and 23 craft breweries, each with their own trail map so guests can taste the best the area has to offer.
  • The great outdoors: La Quinta Inn & Suites Dublin - Pleasanton is surrounded by the natural wonder of Wine Country, with regional parks including Del Valle or Dublin Hills, as well as plenty of breathtaking golf courses.
  • Get your credit card ready: Treat yourself to some retail therapy with plenty of shopping centers and outlets, as well as dozens of boutique stores in the local downtowns.
  • Day trip: For a scenic day trip, hop on Loop 580 and be in San Francisco or Oakland within 30 minutes.

Oakland, California: Hip Coastal City Surrounded by Redwoods

Compared to other destinations in the Bay Area, Oakland is underrated and overlooked. Prices are cheaper than in neighboring San Francisco, and the dining and nightlife scenes are getting hipper all the time. There are also a number of attractions that are appealingly offbeat, from a fortune-cookie factory offering tours for just $2 to a whimsical collection of storybook tableaux at the Children’s Fairyland theme park. For more traditional cultural offerings, see what’s playing at the art-deco Paramount Theatre, a National Historic Landmark that hosts movie screenings and ballet performances.

Similarly, your options for outdoor recreation run the gamut from the kooky to the conventional. Take a gondola ride on Lake Merritt, go on a quest for cool street art, or visit Jack London Square, named after the Bay Area native who wrote The Call of the Wild. Here you can go kayaking on or bicycling alongside Oakland Inner Harbor. Just west of the city, nearly 40 miles of hiking trails in Redwood Regional Park will bring you close to trees standing up to 150 feet tall. Keep your eyes peeled for rare golden eagles, too.

I LOVED this little getaway. The rooms are decorated beautifully with lovely art and the lavender color scheme is a refreshing change. The entryway is beautiful too. Room has a small refrigerator that doesn’t have a freezer. This will definitely be our go to place next time we visit Dublin.

Lovely Hotel Experience Undermined by Poor Customer Service The hotel is very nice — the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the breakfast offers plenty of great options. However, the front desk service needs improvement. The lady I spoke with over the phone in the morning confirmed our early check-in request and didn’t mention any additional fee. But when we arrived around 1 PM, the lady with curly hair at the front desk was very unwelcoming and refused to honor what was told to us, insisting that we pay the early check-in fee. We ended up having to come back later in the afternoon. Then, when we checked in around 4 PM, the gentleman at the front desk was also not very pleasant — he rolled his eyes at my friend when my friend asked him to repeat what he said because he was speaking too fast and not clearly. Overall, I really want to give this hotel 5 stars because it’s beautiful and the rooms are excellent, but the front desk staff need to be more welcoming and improve their customer service.

Lovely stay, but please turn off the morning news at breakfast. The staff was friendly, and everything was clean. The bed was comfortable. My main suggestion, no one was watching the news at breakfast. People are visiting with their families or reading their phones. But the morning news is loud and obnoxious. It was an unpleasant way to wake up and eat in the mornings. But if you play a station of light musical instruments, that would be a much nicer way to spend breakfast. Thank you.

Already done up above Visiting friends in the area Room was adequate. We slept well. Hot water took over 7 min to get hot. Hotel lobby and stair carpets were filthy really need to be replaced. Staff was kind and really nice we slept fine and were grateful for how close it was to everything. There was definitely an ugly musty smell in our room and the bathroom reeeks of sewer if you don’t have the fan on.
