Nice stay in central location in Cambridge Very nice, modern hotel. Room was comfortable and spacious and very clean, and bathroom was also clean and quite large but simple (no marble or walk in showers) . The furniture was basic but very well kept. Plenty of shelf and drawer space. Lots of outlets and ports. Wifi worked fine. I rated it four stars because it did not have the fancy items usually found in a five stars, but that was more than OK with me. The higher floor rooms can have a nice view. The location is also convenient, close to Central Square shops and restaurants and the red line T. Roughly five to seven minutes walk to MIT main buildings. I didn't get a chance to try out the breakfast restaurant but it looked like it had standard breakfast fare and was not crowded. All in all, if I had to visit MIT in the future I would definitely consider staying here again.

Great stay at the Meridien Boston Cambridge. Nice hotel, beautiful and spacious suites, good location, great service. Was very nicely surprised. Comfortable bed, spacious living room, very friendly service. Special kudos to Jacob Meyer who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. Very professional yet friendly. Jacob definitely contributed to our great experience at that property. Can’t thank him enough. Being a Marriott Titanium, I travel a lot. I don’t often get such exceptional service and it makes the whole difference. Only complaint, when getting the breakfast buffet, the hotel is charging extra for a cappuccino or espresso which I believe is outrageous. They also wanted to charge me for soft boiled eggs and finally made them as a “favor”… I am sure they can do better there! All in all, very satisfied with our stay! Will likely be back!

Very dated The physical plant of this hotel is very dated—shockingly so—and not up to the Le Meridien brand. It looks and feels like a Marriott from the 1990s and is not nearly as nice as the typical Westin. The bathroom had an old-fashioned tub and shower combination, the hallway carpets looked dirty (not sure if they were dirty or the colors just gave that impression) and the lobby is like a time warp to 30 years ago. I was quite displeased and felt I did not get the value I expected. The breakfast restaurant has kind of a sad, empty feeling and feels neglected. Had I reserved more than one night, I would have left after the first night.
