Great location and views This hotel is further out of the centre but we loved it as it is in a quieter area and still easy to access the centre of Boston by public transport. There are buses & subway. The river is a 15 mins walk. We went kayaking one afternoon. A bottle is supplied in the room to refill with water & there is a fridge. It was nice to have glass instead of plastic glasses. Our only comment was that the water refill station on our floor provided warm water but there is a fridge in the room. Bathroom was nice & clean & rooms refreshed daily. The buffet breakfast choice was good & they accommodated my coeliac son with gluten free options. The chef made him his own omelette each day & provided gluten free bread. Plenty of local places to eat & a gluten free bakery around the corner! We used the Target supermarket to source supplies for lunch.

Great hotel and location. Shame about the breakfast staff. This was a great hotel located close to a subway stop and only took a few minutes to get into the centre of Boston. The rooms were a good size and comfortable and it was quiet. There are free water refill stations and a fridge in the room. The front desk staff were lovely and very helpful. The only thing that let this hotel down were the breakfast staff. They were rude and unwelcoming. Food wasn't replenished at the buffet in a timely manner. It took 15 minutes for the fruit to be topped up after asking and 10 minutes for the pastries to be topped up. We had a special rate for breakfast and this seemed to confuse them and they kept telling us we had got it wrong. The man on the first day, I think he was called Vinny, was incredibly rude to us. We eventually had to go to the front desk and ask them to speak to the breakfast staff. This happened on 2 out of our 3 mornings there. There was no customer service. The food itself was good. The chefs cooked omelettes and eggs fresh and there was a good selection of fresh fruit and pastries when they were replenished alongside various types of bread. It was just a shame the staff let it down.

People make all the difference! I have stayed here numerous times over the past year (18, but who’s counting!) and this has become my go to hotel while I am in Boston. Why? 1. Staff are hands down the nicest people I have met…they are like family. They are always going above and beyond! 2. Location, location, location: Right in the MIT area and close to Harvard, BU, and other places. You can walk to downtown Boston in :15-:30 minutes. 3. Tons of nearby restaurants on Mass Ave. 4. The neighborhood is safe. 5. The only downfall is that the rooms are dated and need renovations. However, they are clean and always have everything you need.
