We had a great time. Loved all the staff. Very kind and helpful. The room is small but “cozy”. Check out the roof top views! Loved the location, we mostly walked everywhere. Their french fries are amazing!

Horrible experience The worse experience I ever had in New York. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER IT! I stayed in this hotel around 5 years ago and it was absolutely fabulous. Service was spot on, vibe was nice and rooms clean and beautiful, so I thought I'll stay a second time.... such a horrible decision it was, defo never again would stay there not recommend anyone to do so. To begin with, on arrival I was treated like I was making them a favor by staying in. Really basic manners and the reception was looking more like a war zone than a 5 stars hotel (no even 1 star I'd say). I got to the room and straight on you can see that things have gone bad bad. Carpet is not clean enough, windows are filthy, the toilet still has some 'hair' around the sink and so on. During the week I went to the bar with my work colleague and were attended with really bad manners once again, still we got a drink each and went to bed, I'd have never thought this will become a nightmare after that. It comes check out time and I'm in a rush to get to the office. Upon providing my room number receptionist responds "I can see you have thrown a massive party in the rooftop", my face at that point is like a poem gone wrong. He says "we have a bill of $2,800 you need to settle", directly assuming that it was mine and I was trying to avoid it after he saw my 'surprising' face. I absolutely did not spend that money but $40 instead which I've paid in cash so I said that is not mine. Surprising he and the manager of the hotel which was by his side said "well, that we will need to investigate as you put down your room number on this bill"... shocking!! I start getting upset and asked them to look at it as this was an absolute mistake, to which they said "you will need to prove that". I then responded as I should have from the very beginning and the manager says "oh, I'm sure we can fix this over a drink in the rooftop right now"... excuse me? 10am and you want me to fix things over a 'drink' while I told you I need to go to work.... absolutely unreal. After 40 minutes waiting on reception to get this sorted, they kind of agree to give me an invoice with a 'waive' of the $2800, which I absolutely denied as that charged was not even mine... Never mind, the story does not end here. I leave my luggage with them (MASSIVE MISTAKE) and when I come to pick it up they tell me I only have 2 to collect, when my ticket says 3. I soon realized that a massive problem was coming, they have given away my hand luggage with passports, wallet, and all valuable items to someone else. My hand luggage is nowhere to be found and the concierge is giving me attitude and calling me a liar stating "you only had two piece of luggage", even though they were the ones write it down for me. I then panic and I walk into reception to see what is going on, when I get back I see this 'lovely lady' standing up with my hand luggage totally ready to go and the concierge comes real fast, knowing very well at that point that this was my hand luggage, and said 'ohhh this is yours', please take it and asked me "can you go now?"... was that arranged? I'm still shocked and scared of what would have happened if that person would have left with my passport, wallet, etc. before I got there. UNBELIEVABLE, for your own safety, PLEASE STAY AWAY!!

Excellent Stay, Will Return Comfortable bed, clean room and facility, extremely friendly staff. Location is great, close to Central Park and wonderful restaurants. I appreciated the extra attention and care from Awas who showed me the fridge and took excellent care of us all week! Thank you, Awas! Ricardo at the door was also very friendly and accommodating as we came in with tons of bags. Thanks for checking our stuff while we explored the city before heading to the airport, Ricardo!

You cant beat this location! I can not say enough good things about the hotel location and staff. Joe Panarella and his front desk staff turned my 3 star experience into a 5 star vacation!!! Joe especially went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of after a minor inconvenience with our room. He is the reason I would become a repeat guest at Le Meridien Central Park among the myriad of hotel choices... True customer service is making your guests feel valued. Everyone at the hotel was so accommodating. We stayed 6 nights and are so glad we chose to stay at Le Meridian for our entire trip.  The $40 daily credit to the bar/restaurant/rooftop is also a spectacular bonus. 5 minute walk to Central Park and 5th Ave.
