The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants and extravagant buffets overflowing with crab legs and prime rib.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, or head to Fashion Show Las Vegas to browse racks at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks, thanks to the Strip’s re-creation of the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and Venetian canals. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

Christmas in Vegas at the Luxor! The Luxor is a cool place. We stayed in the tower so we didn't get to see the pyramid rooms, but heard they were cool. And haunted. The tower room was very nice and quiet.

Not planning to go back to that hotel. The location is not bad, walking distance to the strip but the room itself was very bare, no fridge or coffee maker. Also, really far from the parking lot. Don't understand why there is a resort fee when it was impossible to use any of the pools. They were all under renovation.

Iconic Pyramid, Very Outdated Stay The only interesting aspect of this hotel is the pyramid design and the inclined elevators — those are unique and worth seeing once. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The room felt extremely outdated, as if it hadn’t been refreshed in decades. The TV was old, the bed had an unpleasant odor, and the air conditioning struggled to cool the room. Everything about the space felt worn and past its prime. There were no convenient breakfast options available, the walk from self-parking was long and inconvenient, and it was unclear what the resort fees actually covered. The only consistently positive interaction we had was with housekeeping staff in the hallways, who were polite and friendly. Overall, this was a one-time experience. We would not stay here again unless the property undergoes a major remodel.
