The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants and extravagant buffets overflowing with crab legs and prime rib.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, or head to Fashion Show Las Vegas to browse racks at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks, thanks to the Strip’s re-creation of the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and Venetian canals. And you’ll find a surprising number of activities in Las Vegas for kids hidden amid the raucous nightlife.

This stay was amazing! Went to Vegas to celebrate my Birthday and stayed at the Luxor. I booked the Tower only based on reviews about the pyramid. The room, was clean, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were amazing. Check in/out was quick and easy. I highly recommend scanning the QR code and doing everything at the kiosk. If I go to Vegas again I may choose Luxor again.

Nice but too expensive!! Room was nice in the tower but starting to get a little run down. This used to be a great place to stay but with the resort fees and parking is too expensive for the value.

Motel 6 has more amenities than the Luxor Don’t book the Luxor in Las Vegas! My adult son and I stayed at the Luxor in Las Vegas. We came to see The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. I had booked a room in the pyramid, but when checking in, the clerk mumbled something about a problem and said we had been “upgraded” to a room in the tower. That should have been my first clue. The elevator to our room on the 17th floor was dirty—the floor needed sweeping, but what was worse was all the handprints and even footprints all over the doors! We got to our room and at first glance noticed there was no mini refrigerator, no coffee machine, no alarm clock, and flimsy plastic drinking cups, instead of glass. I have had *all* of these amenities in far less expensive hotels, so this was a bit of a shock. And this was supposedly an “upgraded” room!! Later, when I went into the bathroom to take a shower, I saw there was no fan OR any heat! In the shower, there was shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner. Since there was no heat, I had to get dried off and dressed in the main room because it was warmer! In the meantime, my son went to the vending machine to buy a soft drink, and the machine charged my card, but did not dispense the soda. We called the front desk who said we had to call the vending company but did not give us the name or their phone number, even when we asked. When we went to bed, we discovered each “blanket” on our beds appeared to be a mattress pad, not a true blanket. It was very thin and didn’t keep me warm at all. I looked for an extra blanket, but there was none. Every time we used the elevator, it was the same one, and still as dirty as the first day. On our last day, I tried to use the checkout option listed on the TV menu, and it said the service was not available. Does anything work in this hotel? I will never book there again. I propose a new name: Suxor.

Its usually a better experience I think this trip was an anomaly, but this casino usually does well. I will still stay there even with this hiccup. The suites needs updating as well.
