Far above average! Clean and bright. Great spot for a good nights rest. This hotel has friendly and helpful staff paired with fully renovated, clean hotel. We wanted to stay close to highway for a quick departure following morning. We also wanted quick access downtown for dinner. So this seemed like the right spot. Initially we read hotel could be loud with adjacency to interchange. We had a hotel room mid floor on side opposite of interchange and room was very quiet. Lobby is brand new, clean and nicely decorated. They even have a snack shop. Rooms are also clean and nicely decorated. Above average bedding and towels. Nice mini bar with microwave/fridge, ice bucket, cups and coffee maker. Bathroom was bright and clean! Breakfast following morning was above average offering far more than the usual waffles, bread items and a basket of fruit. They had fresh eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, etc. My husband also enjoyed the gym with both cardio machines and free weights. This hotel owner is going above and beyond!

Madison, Wisconsin: Capital City and College Town Surrounded by Water

Madison is nicknamed “The City of Four Lakes” because of its proximity to Lakes Mendota, Monona, Waubesa, and Kegonsa. All that water gives Wisconsin’s capital city an almost coastal feeling—there are striking views almost everywhere you look.

A few blocks from picturesque Lake Monona, you’ll find the capitol building, a white-domed structure that’s the tallest building in Madison. You can take one of the free tours that leave hourly from the information desk or just gaze at the colorful murals painted on the rotunda 200 feet up. On Saturdays, make sure to check out the year-round Dane County Farmers’ Market at Capitol Square. More than 160 local vendors at indoor and outdoor stands sell handmade cheeses and honey as well as farm-grown produce.

From Capitol Square, make your way down State Street, a popular pedestrian thoroughfare packed with quirky and upscale shops, ethnic eateries, and bookstores. It’s also packed with students—State Street eventually leads to the campus of the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

Several museums worth visiting are located nearby. The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art is currently showing a collection of prints by famed American painter Ellsworth Kelly, and the Wisconsin Historical Museum has an exhibit of popular inventions and ideas born in Wisconsin.

Close to I 90 and near Ho Chunk Casino, right. Ext to HD Madison Everything was new and super clean, the bed was a plus and the breakfast was very good even had potatoes!! I slept like a log. Super close to Ho Chonk casino, and owners were very kind. This is a recently remodeled very modern Comfort Suites. The only complaint I have is if you are facing the interstate bring a sound machine to block out noise, I always travel with one, so no biggie for me.

Disgusting! The room was not cleaned from prior person. The shower(tub) was absolutely disgusting. Everything about the room was dirty and unkempt. The pool was littered with garbage. The whirlpool was barely warm...and was caked with mold. The only thing good I can say is that the people that work there are nice.

A decent regular hotel Hotel was under construction, so this review is mostly about the staff. Friendly and hard working they helped us with some little foibles, and there clearly was a few issues due to contruction. BUT beds were nice, A/C was cold and rooms were quiet. Price through trip advisor was GREAT
