Kissimmee, Florida: Easy Access to World-Famous Theme Parks and Major Orlando Attractions

Located on the banks of Lake Tohopekaliga, Kissimmee sits about 22 miles from downtown Orlando and just 16 miles from the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. The world’s most-visited entertainment resort spans roughly 30,000 acres, encompassing four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day at Magic Kingdom® Park by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. After that, ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. For dinner, head over to Epcot® to sample cuisine from Morocco, Mexico, France, Italy, and several other countries. As one of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is home to other theme parks including Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

I was unable to register for the room I had booked in advance bc In the frenzy of getting ready to go to the hotel my wallet got left and wasn't in my purse. So because I didn't have my physical card for the deposit I wasn't able to register. The clerk was very sweet and understanding and told me that they wouldn't be charging Groupon for the reservation and that I would receive a refund. Thank yo

MaineGate Lakeside Resort (Not a resort) Upon check-in, we were told we needed to pay the resort fee of $162 for the duration of our stay. Check-in was easy, but that's where it stops. We get the keys to our room, as we walk to where the rooms are, we notice other doors that have been kicked in. We get to our room, go in and the door was warped and very hard to close, the locks on the inside of the door are hanging on by screws that were falling out, and would not hold anything, or anyone out. The toilet ran all night, made them aware, and was never fixed. The TV was fuzzy, when we did use it, which was not much. We went down to breakfast hoping to have breakfast, nope, the only thing on the counter was boiled eggs, some fruit, cereal, or toast, not much. We were there for a few days and had to ask to have the rooms cleaned, which they were not when we checked in. I had to go back to the counter to get towels and tp, and asked to have the rooms done the next day, but they were not. The whole time we stayed. When we went back to the check-in counter to ask what exactly the "resort" fees covered, we were told the "breakfast", mini gold, which was not safe to use, and cleaning the rooms, which we never saw. They list a lot of amenities on their site, such as a store bar and other things, their not there. Started noticing used needles on the ground in front of our room as well. The pictures on the site are not real, very staged, and not what this place represents. Save your money and book elsewhere, that take care of their patrons

Fraudulent Transactions by Hotel. We booked to stay at the Maingate Lakeside Hotel for 7 days. The Hotel asked me to pay a security deposit when I checked in. When I checked out and travelled home, I noticed that the Hotel had taken money from my account using 3 separate transactions. THE MONEY TAKEN WAS INCREASING FOR THE 3 CONSECUTIVE TIMES. I called the Hotel on this number: +1 407-396-2222 and the staff were rude and not helpful. They transfered me to Desk Services on OPTION 4 that only takes voice messages. I tried this number about a dizen times. This also happened to 2 other families that also checked into the Hotel with us. We stayed in room 284 and the hotel was outdated and dirty. I could put up with the outdated part but, to have money stolen from your account by a Hotel is cruel and I am disgusted. Please be careful with this Hotel. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD DETAILS. I have raised a fraud dispute with Lloyd Bank about their fraudulent transactions. The transactions were done at 1am in the morning by the Hotel. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH MAINGATE LAKESIDE RESORT.......

Heard several horror stories on my 1 night visit, unbelievable. All the workers know the conditions but won’t admit to it and look the other way
