Kissimmee, Florida: Easy Access to World-Famous Theme Parks and Major Orlando Attractions

Located on the banks of Lake Tohopekaliga, Kissimmee sits about 22 miles from downtown Orlando and just 16 miles from the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. The world’s most-visited entertainment resort spans roughly 30,000 acres, encompassing four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day at Magic Kingdom® Park by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. After that, ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. For dinner, head over to Epcot® to sample cuisine from Morocco, Mexico, France, Italy, and several other countries. As one of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is home to other theme parks including Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando’s vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as the CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which holds improv shows five nights a week.

This is not a resort, by any definition. There was no sofa bed in my room as advertised. They charge a $20 per night resort fee, for what? No microwave, no coffee maker, no hot tub, no tissue dispenser, no restaurant, no gift shop, no working ice machine, no ice bucket. This is a sad, run down, poorly maintained hotel. This place needs a complete makeover. I was very disappointed with nearly every aspect of my stay. I rarely write negative reviews, but this hotel was atrocious!

Customer service was top notch. But that's it! Poor landscaping, lighting, rooms smelled really strongly of mold toilet ran all night shower was stopped up. Pool was overflowing. It was ok with me tho because Im from the 80's new york lol and only needed it for a few hours til my other room was ready because I arrived early for my other room.

Not as advertised!! The resort fees are a joke! It is NOT a “resort”. It’s simply a hotel with a pool. The ice machines didn’t work. The TV didn’t have any options for channels and the picture was bad. No wash clothes, no coffee. The so called “mini golf” is non existent, same with the “game room”. Just an extremely run down hotel inside and out. Not to mention the roaches.

I was unable to register for the room I had booked in advance bc In the frenzy of getting ready to go to the hotel my wallet got left and wasn't in my purse. So because I didn't have my physical card for the deposit I wasn't able to register. The clerk was very sweet and understanding and told me that they wouldn't be charging Groupon for the reservation and that I would receive a refund. Thank yo
