Four-Star Resort with Championship Golf Course

Situated along the Intracoastal Waterway, the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes presents a fountain-and-palm-tree façade typical of Myrtle Beach's many resorts. But beyond the exterior, you’ll find a homey experience, beginning in the lobby, where you’ll check in at one of two old-fashioned wooden desks. A concierge is on hand to book tee times at the onsite championship golf courses or give tips on the family-friendly activities close to the inn, from shopping along the boardwalk to attending a live music show.

Spacious guest rooms feature private balconies, large bathrooms, and free WiFi access. Take advantage of year-round golfing by hitting the links at the resort's onsite course. The Grande Dunes Resort Club was named National Course of the Year in 2009 by the National Golf Course Owners Association.

At WaterScapes restaurant, Chef Corbett Rourk selects fresh-caught seafood for entrees ranging from Maryland-style crab cakes to shrimp and grits. The upscale eatery offers a wine list with dozens of options to choose from, so diners can find the perfect pairing for their meal.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Sandy Beaches, Golf Courses, and Classic Amusement-Park Rides

Myrtle Beach is the crown jewel of South Carolina's Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of white-sand beaches along the Atlantic seaboard that draws surfers, fishers, and kayakers. The city was named one of the best vacation spots in the United States for a family by USA Today, in part because of its wooden boardwalk, which stretches for more than a mile and buzzes with carnival games and amusement-park rides. Hop into the SkyWheel Ferris wheel’s gondolas, surrounded by more than a million LED lights, for a panoramic view of the city below.

Less than 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach, the tiny fishing village of Murrells Inlet provides a tranquil contrast to the boardwalk's hustle and bustle. At Brookgreen Gardens, more than 2,000 sculptures stand amid sprawling floral gardens and massive, moss-covered oak trees that have been around for centuries. Murrells Inlet is also home to the Tom Fazio–designed TPC Myrtle Beach golf course, 1 of nearly 100 courses in the area that helped Myrtle Beach earn its title as the seaside golf capital of the world.

Perfect location/destination. It felt like we were on a vacation inside of another vacation. I look the marina area and it is close to everything we enjoy in Myrtle Beach, so we will be staying here again.

Average at best We chose this hotel because of the reviews and amenities felt like the right fit for our family. Unfortunately the hotel did not live up to the reviews here. We started by being told our carpets were just cleaned prior to our arrival, well we found a precious guests earring under the bed so not sure how thorough any of their cleaning bfs could be. Our first night we were awoken at 5:30AM to the alarm clock going off. Maybe that is our bad for not checking the alarm clock when we arrived to see if it was on but I have personally never done that in a hotel room before. This also woke up our six month old so definitely a bummer. After going to breakfast we decided to head to the pool around 10AM. There was debris and dead insects all over both ends of the pool. Maybe if we had gone early morning this could be acceptable but paying a resort fee and then not having your amenities(or rooms) clean for guests is unsatisfactory. Our second night was spent listening to a baby cry or very bad karaoke(that’s what my husband said it sounded like) from 9:00-10:00 praying it didn’t wake our kid up, but did keep us up after that 5:30 wake up call. I will say the beach access was very enjoyable in the afternoon and the resort staff we did interact with were very nice, just was not worth the extra expense to stay here, since the inconveniences kept adding up.

Wonderful place to stay When going to the beach, I always thought that our stay had to be oceanfront. Marina Inn has proven that to be wrong. This place is so awesome. Elegant, Clean and Affordable. The location is in a very nice area. Nice atmosphere. Smells great and the staff is awesome. The comfortable beds and the blackout curtains will have you sleeping longer than expected which is a great thing. Housekeeping comes in everyday! Everything you need is there but you’re also just minutes away from everything. I will continue to go back year after year. The penthouse was fantastic!

Beautiful property with excellent service! This was an ideal location and a beautiful property! Our room was very spacious with a view of the ICW. While the property is large, it felt very cozy and intimate. Service was superb. We enjoyed breakast on the patio and a poolside lunch. The food was excellent. This hotel is highly recommended!
