Excellent Accommodations & Location It is with pleasure that I offer this review of the Saddle Brook Marriott. We had business in NYC and prefer to stay in New Jersey for its proximity to Pennsylvania, Interstate 80, and the Garden State Parkway. In addition to its excellent location, this hotel has been completely renovated. The remodel is first class! One of the things we truly appreciated in their new bathroom was the generous bath sheet towel…enormous and so soft. This was our first time staying at the Marriott Saddle Brook and it won’t be our last. We plan to be back very soon. It will be our go-to hotel when we visit the NYC area.

Convenient location, but wouldn't stay again. Chose this location as it is close to the hospital where my dad is and the back and forth has been a lot of my mom. We checked in around 9:30pm on Friday, November 7, and the lady at the desk didn't even acknowledge we were standing in front of her. When she eventually looked up, there was no hi, hello, just "can I have your ID please." There was little to no further communication after that. Just "insert your card." She didn't tell us about the amenities, she didn't tell us where we could eat, she didn't tell us where the elevators were, just handed the keys and said "7th floor." No acknowledgement of being a reward member. I think the hotel itself is overpriced. The bathroom was tiny and the room just basic.

Poor customer service and no brand loyalty Don’t expect your Marriott loyalty to mean much at Marriott Saddle Brook. I’ve stayed here several times, and not once have I been welcomed back or recognized as an Ambassador Elite. Suite upgrades are supposed to be based on availability. After being told by multiple staff members that one was available and I would receive it, I packed up my things. As I walked to the front desk to collect the keys, the assistant manager who was there now, suddenly reversed course and told me I wouldn’t be upgraded because my overall stay was “too long” and that she couldn’t trust I’d vacate the room after a few days. She brought up all of these stories of a previous guest that they had issues with and started wild accusations that I may cause similar problems. I have never in my life been treated so badly by a Marriott hotel. I'm in shock with how she spoke to me. I will never stay at this property again.
