This hotel is not worthy of the Marriot name My wife and I went to the Marriott saddle brook this weekend as we were going to a surprise 50th bday party in the area. First all you have to pay for parking which is rediculous by itself. Then we went inside and there is only one elevator working for the entire hotel! We are gold bonvoy members and the lady at the desk didn't offer a welcome gift or an upgrade to another room. When we got to the room, we'll you can see the attached pictures. The room was small, we had to squeeze into the bathroom, the shampoo bottle was ripped off the wall, there was a stain in the toilet and the shower door was filthy. We complained to the manager on duty, Maria and we had to wait forever to speak to her. She said enail the GM on Monday and offered nothing except to change rooms but was very unapologetic. She made the excuse that the hotel was under renovation. I said I put a chat in the text through the app but no one answered. Several people were waiting to get their rooms keys changes as their cards did not work when they tried to open their doors. As loyal bonvoy members we expect better when we come to a Marriott. I can't believe this hotel is affiliated with Marriott, feels more like a Days Inn or Comfort Inn. We definitely would not come back here and to anyone who expects a certain level of service, be wary and pick another hotel.

TO BE AVOIDED While this hotel tends to be cheaper relative to others in the area, this is a case of "you get what you pay for". The entry floor public areas at best "look tired". What they call a concierge lounge is nothing more than the regular restaurant which is available for breakfast only in the morning. The hotel has been in the same suburban residential neighborhood for some time. Only recently, some genius decided it would be a good idea to start charging an additional $20 per day for parking. Instead of adding it to the bill, they have you stand outside, scan a QR code and then answer a whole bunch of prompts. In winter time, sub freezing, windy weather, this is not a pleasant experience! When we spoke to the front desk and asked if they could simply charge it to the room, he told us that while they could, Management wanted them to do it only as a last resort. The next morning when we checked out we spoke to the manager on duty, and in response to the parking and other issues, she said she would waive the parking fee. 9 days later we got Marriott Visa bill and the parking fee was removed. A few days ago, we got another Visa statement and the $20 fee was back again! The best part was trying to reach them by phone. Over a 3-day period it was impossible to reach a human being or have someone call back. The property is supposed to have a makeover later this year. As far as the physical building and especially the Management, this can't come soon enough. Right now this is a disgrace to the Marriott name. From a Lifetime Titanium Bonvoy guest.

One of the worst hotels in the Marriott system Disgusting, dirty, run down, AC not working, and I wondered if things were crawling on me. No manager on duty and the one person working the front desk often just leaves for minutes on end. Believe the reviews and don’t believe the BS responses that they are planning a renovation. The Brady Bunch has a more updated place. PS it’s 12:17am and a guest is literally playing a bass guitar in his room and the hotel says they can’t do anything about it. DO NOT STAY HERE.
