The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars and nightclubs, and live entertainment, the general consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go really big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes games of roulette, blackjack, and poker; or grab a front-row seat to the city’s over-the-top glitz at nightly magic, acrobatic, and musical performances. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants and extravagant buffets overflowing with crab legs and prime rib.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques found inside most hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, or head to Fashion Show Las Vegas to browse racks at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Saks Fifth Avenue. You can also virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks, thanks to the Strip’s re-creation of the Statue of Liberty, the Eiffel Tower, and Venetian canals. And you’ll find a surprising number of shows in Las Vegas for kids hidden among the raucous nightlife.

Frustrating No longer a Grand experience. It was lackluster at best. For many years the MGM has been my preferred choice for stays. Ask for assistance in any area and you will be directed and redirected before you realize no one is answering the needs of guests. Super disappointed. We did enjoy time at both Caesar’s and resort world Where welcoming guests is the norm.

Double booking I recently stayed for a surprise anniversary trip. Traffic was outrageous to get there which has nothing to do with this review. However, once arriving to our hotel to finally check in, we realized walking into our room that we had been double booked. The lobby to MGM is quite a ways away, so I tried to call customer service before walking back because we were exhausted. No luck, so we headed down to the lobby for a second time, to get a different room. Hotel staff wanted to give me another food & beverage credit to use when I ALREADY had $100 applied to my stay when booking to resolve this inconvenience. We were only staying for about 24 hours and did not have any interest in using $200 worth of credit just to keep my money at there facility. They finally offered me a PARTIAL refund (to which I have not received) after waiting for about 20 minutes to talk to a manager. They had no consideration for my reservation I had to cancel with my boyfriend (a surprise) because of this whole mess. Our room was clean and housekeeping was nice throughout our stay! Once checking out, I look at my bill and I noticed a charge of $18 to the mini bar to which we could not even open the mini bar to the room.. I took videos and pictures of us using nothing before leaving because I have heard of this happening before, but I have given up with this hotel and will choose anywhere else.
