Downtown Vancouver: Bustling Metropolis with Beautiful Harbor Views

Vancouver’s location on a peninsula between English Bay and Vancouver Harbour presents a rare blend of urban amenities and natural splendor. It’s possible to glimpse the waterfront—and the North Shore Mountains beyond—all across the city, but it’s worth it to visit historic Gastown to shop, eat, and stroll along the harbor. Another retail area worth checking out is Robson Street, a three-block stretch of northern downtown lined with boutique clothing stores and cafés.

At the tip of the peninsula lies Stanley Park, whose 900 acres (400 ha) encompass forests, beaches, and gardens. The Seawall, a 13-mile (22 km) waterfront path, circles the park and has designated lanes for walkers, joggers, cyclists, and inline skaters. There are numerous smaller parks spread throughout the city, too, making Vancouver feel like an urban oasis.

Location, ease of getting a cab, staff very friendly. I upgraded to a small suite for an extra $50 a night and it was very comfortable. There was a business centre with a printer available.

Perfect location and price for a concert at the Orpheum at an older but clean hotel.

Hard to deal with greed and most hotels are greedy in Vancouver I will not be cruel and post a 1 star but it is just rough to try and explain to a manager there (Andrea) that I used my Expedia gold points to get my good deal and she only goes by what I paid by way of Expedia and not what the rate would have been without factoring that in to use my credit I was given. I stayed at lots of places to get my discount earned. I did appreciate the fact that I got a credit back on Mar 1 from my Feb 29 fail to arrive due to a total road closure out of my control and cause of senseless selfish speedy drivers and my inability to get there to watch Canucks and my Canucks ticket was non refundable. I chose here to try and based on its location to Rogers. Now I am just taking the loss because factoring in my credit, NOW WASTED, I still have to pay a ton! What is that point? In the fall most rates go down anyways. Not too pleased. (Folks, just hope you do not have a situation that happened to me...a road closure of not your fault or doing!) Wasted money is rough! Now I will never stay here too it looks like. I travel to Van about 4 times a season for the Canucks coming from Kelowna and other times too I go to Van.

Location, location........ Small room, but clean and comfortable. Front office staff very pleasant and helpful. Best feature is the location. Very centrally located. Walkable to so many attractions. Cruise terminal is 15 minutes away. Several restaurants are in the vicinity. We stayed for two nights, would stay again, whenever required.
