Do your research - Heart ❤️ Dogs This is an interesting hotel! From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the warmth of the staff and experience impeccable service. It’s also extremely dog-friendly, so if you’re traveling with your furry friend, you’ll be very happy here. My only advice is to research the Moxy brand and read some hotel reviews before booking so you know what to expect—this is not a traditional hotel. It’s eclectic and has a cool, youthful vibe. If you want a classic hotel with room service, in-room coffee, and plenty of dressers or closet space, this may not be for you. But if you’re open-minded, love a fun atmosphere, and are bringing your dog, this is absolutely the place for you!

Worst Hotel Experience – Omaha Moxy Downtown Worst Hotel Experience – Omaha Moxy Downtown I genuinely felt like I was on a hidden camera game show during my stay here. I arrived at 9 PM after a long day of travel. At first, the atmosphere seemed fun and the two women at the front desk/bar were friendly. But that’s where the positives ended. First, they gave me the wrong room number. I went upstairs, tried my key, and of course it didn’t work. Back downstairs I went, and only then did they realize their mistake. They chuckled/apologized and handed me the correct keys and room number — the sweat box with no working AC. At check-in, they casually mentioned that there was only one room left and the AC was broken. Instead of contacting me before I arrived, they waited until I was standing there exhausted. Their “solution” was a freestanding unit that used ice to “cool” the room. It took nearly 30 minutes just to get situated, and once inside the room, it was unbearable. To compensate, they gave me a few extra poker chips for the bar/coffee. Those turned out to be useless, because when I tried to use them the next morning for a cappuccino, the woman at the desk admitted she couldn’t make one — she didn’t know how to clean the machine and didn’t have the tools to do it. So much for that perk. By 11 PM, after wasted promises of “working on a solution,” all I got was a second fan to push hot air around. Out of desperation, I propped my door open with the so-called AC unit to pull in cold air from the hallway. Imagine paying for a hotel and having to sleep with your door wide open just to get relief. The pillows were terrible, I barely slept, and the one cup of brewed coffee I could get tasted like water. Bottom line: • Wrong room number given at check-in. • No working AC in my room, no advance notice. • No manager ever reached out — they left everything to two unprepared staff members. • Useless “compensation” poker chips that couldn’t even be redeemed. • Unacceptable delays, zero real solutions, terrible sleep, and bad coffee. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Not professionally managed.

Would stay again but probably not for everyone! I stayed solo for three nights at this hotel in early September. It was impeccably clean, check in was easy and I appreciated the free drink voucher. I didn't find the hotel room small as some other reviewers have found - it was very similar to what I am used to in hotels across New Zealand + Australia. I didn't need tea/coffee facilities or a microwave/fridge, so these weren't missed by me. I would stay here again and recommend it to others with a few warnings though - the water pressure in the shower was not great, the air conditioning/heating unit was extremely loud and you could hear the footsteps from people in the room upstairs and next door. If you are a light sleeper or annoyed by noises, I'd say stay away (I wear earplugs to sleep anyway so this wasn't a problem for me). I didn't use housekeeping so can't comment on that. Appreciate that there was a place to get grocery bits downstairs (although quite high prices), however there was free fruit and a water refill station.

Sweet location. Cool lobby and great stagf. Love the lobby. Vibes are cool. The valet, JJ, was super helpful. Had some great suggestions for local activities for us to do and when we were down at the bar he heard me saying I was running up to the room to charge my phone and he offered me a charger. Great experience.

Friendly staff and Highly Fashionable! As soon as we pulled up, one of the staff members, JJ, greeted us outside and helped me find parking! He even helped my wife bring in our belongings while I did so. The old market has a lot of vehicle and foot traffic, so this was incredibly helpful and reduced our stress immediately! Every staff member has been friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. This main lobby area and bar is very clean and STYLISH!! Like, who is this DIVVAAAA? _ There’s fun references on the signs, nice seating areas, sweet decor, and navigating is very easy. The room and washroom are nicely cleaned! The bed is comfortable, and is on the more firm side. Some nice lighting in the rooms, that gives a relaxing environment. There’s no closet space, but that’s made up for with plenty of stable wall hangers! Alongside these benefits, the area is amazing! Located in the old market of Omaha, there are plenty things to do within walking distance :) All this, at such an affordable rate! I highly recommend staying here :)
