Great location-Great accommodations-Great food! What a great place to stay- great location, great accommodations, great food- what more do you need? From here, you can do day trips to Savannah, hikes and car tours in the Okeechenokee Wildlife Refuge or saltwater fishing out of many coastal ports. The cabins are quite roomy and comfortable. Extremely convenient when you have a group of over 20 people like we did. The pavilion and lodge are exceptional for large group gatherings. We had dinner catered. The steaks were A-MAZE-ING!!!!!! The flavor and quality of beef was exceptional! When going to Folkston, this is our choice for lodging!

Perfect vacation spot . Wife is new to Georgia and loved the animals the quietness you get as soon you get there. We had the time of our lives. This is a great place to get away from everything else in your life. My 2 year old keeps saying horses. We are planning our next trip there already. The cabins are a great way to stay. We had no problem checking in and getting settled into the cabin are friends had there camper and it was so easy for us to spend time with them. This is a hidden vacation spot that will be your favorite vacation spot after your first visit.

The Calm Before The Swamp My trip to South Georgia ended hearing the late night sounds of alligators and feeling the stings of hundreds of Okefenokee Swamp mosquitos. It began a few days earlier with the hospitality of Newell Lodge. After searching a few different, but very limited lodging options in area to kick off a paddle trip with six buddies converging from Philly, NC, GA, DC and VA, we booked the Newell Lodge. All of us were very impressed. We booked three separate houses. Each were ample in size and had great outdoor space to hang out together. Appreciated the communication prior to check-in and after check-out as well. Highly recommend the Swampfire Backwoods Bistro too. The service was great, food delivery was fast, and helpings were massive.
