Hotel at a Glance: Niagara Falls Marriott Fallsview Hotel & Spa

Oscar Wilde once described Niagara Falls as “simply a vast amount of water going the wrong way over some unnecessary rocks.” But the falls’ millions of annual visitors tend to have a different reaction when they witness the spectacle. If you really want to prove the Irish playwright wrong, the four-star Marriott Niagara Falls may have the ideal vantage point—the Travel Channel says it’s “the closest hotel to the action and promises the best views.”

  • Fallsview Casino: Enjoy an expansive 200,000 square foot gaming floor featuring over 3,000 slot machines and classic table games such as poker, roulette, and blackjack.
  • Where to eat at the brand new onsite Morton’s Grille. All options of this Getaway include a C$20 dining credit valid with minimum two-entree purchase for Morton’s Grille.
  • Get pampered with massages, facials, and body treatments at Serenity Spa by the Falls.
  • Grab a drink: Head to the Lobby Lounge for cocktails and even more great views.

Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls near Vegas-Style Casinos and Water Parks

At Niagara Falls, water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls’ photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.

Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—visitors board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps from the cascading water. A 10-minute walk from the falls is the neon-lit Clifton Hill neighborhood. Its Fallsview Boulevard has plenty of Vegas-style kitsch, including glitzy casinos and indoor water parks.

Niagara Falls out your back window !! Hi gang, Here we are with the Grandkids in tow to see the natural wonder of Niagara Falls. The hotel staff is efficient and friendly. We had 2 rooms on the 15th floor with a perfect view of both the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Our room had a king with a large jetted tub. The room was clean and well appointed. The parking lot for self-parking is a 2 min walk @ $45/day and valet is $65/ day unlimited access and they use the same lot !!! The only drawback I experienced was the buffet downstairs. 4 passes for breakfast were incl’d in our stay. Sone of the items offered were good, others like the institutional powdered scrambled eggs were lame, bland a major turnoff. Pastry muffins would make good door stops, The Starbucks in the lobby served diluted over-iced drinks. Not my style, a true ripoff. If you want one of the best places to stay on the Canadian side this is it. But it’ll cost ya’. Check it out !! Rich

Look elsewhere Stayed there in the past, however my most recent stay was just terrible. I booked several rooms and found that there is need for a remodel. House keeping was poor also with many dirty corners and overall lack of care. The entire AC was inoperable in the wing due to a malfunction that lasted my 2 night stay. I personally was in a duplex room and found stains on the chairs, carpet, and the curtains on the second floor were locked open which means anyone staying in the room was up at dawn. Customer service to deal with this was non existent. Look elsewhere.

Closest hotel to the falls Despite paying extra for a room on a higher falls view we were allocated the 12th floor but managed to get 14th floor. View was pretty good but we were close to a part of the hotel that sticks out disrupting the view and making the room feel closed in. However we were lucky enough to be allocated a room on the 22nd floor after our first night and the difference was amazing. Watching the sun rise, the lights and fireworks over the falls was out of this world. The breakfast was very good but very expensive if not included in your room rate. The lady making the omelettes was super efficient. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice but the spa was expensive and the outside hot tubs only separated from the road by a fence. Not that luxurious.
