I think it was a cute hotel... in the center of the city were all the action is. Groupon offered a good price. Only negative was the lighting in the bed and bathroom. Also the fact that you can hear your hotel neighbors. But I would def go back there!

A renovated 4-star hotel steps away from major NYC attractions and is a comfortable stay for those who have never seen the Big Apple

Hotel at a Glance: OYO Times Square

Stay in a hotel that matches the theater district of Times Square, NYC. At OYO Times Square, the ambiance is modern, though not sterile. Just like the nearby bustling area encompassing this hotel, guests who stay here have a good sense of the neighborhood: showy, flashy, and exciting.

  • A safe haven: The rooms here range in plenty of sizes depending on the customer and any travel companion coming along. Those who want to book a room with a city view also have the option to do so.
  • A lobby that dazzles: Walk into this hotel and be struck by newly renovated lobby for guests to enjoy
  • Steps away from Times Square, the Rockefeller Center, MoMA, and Fifth Avenue shopping.

Manhattan’s Midtown West: Edgy, Urban Vibe with Lots of Restaurants

Though it’s a stone’s throw from top attractions such as Central Park, Broadway, and Radio City Music Hall, Midtown West can feel a little grittier and less developed than some of the surrounding NYC neighborhoods. Stretching roughly from 59th to 29th Street and the Hudson River to 8th Avenue (though some say it continues as far east as Madison Avenue), Midtown West lacks the chain restaurants of Times Square and the large department stores of 5th Avenue. Instead, you can find neighborhood markets, cafes, and walk-up row houses.

Midtown West is also known as Hell’s Kitchen, a nod to the numerous restaurants that serve everything from Asian street food to fine French cuisine. The neighborhood’s eateries and bars are especially concentrated along 9th and 10th Avenues, and it’s easy to walk between them all.

Being alone!! Proximity to Times Square was great. Early morning Construction outside the second floor window was not. Room was fine, clean, and worth the discounted Groupon prices.

Always feel like I’m staying with Family.. Thanks a million Maria. What a fabulous hotel stay. This is my go to hotel whenever I come see Broadway Shows. Maria at the front desk was so helpful, patient and ultra kind helping me to check in and with any other questions I had. I will definitely stay here again and recommend that everyone come stay here as well.

AVOID. Hidden fees, overpriced and terrible customer service. This hotel has unfortunately tarnished my experienced of NYC and I would recommend steering clear. Enticed by the location and apparent 4* service I paid close to $300 per night to stay for a long weekend this June. I was greeted by a very underwhelming hotel and a small room with a flimsy bed, backing on to a very noisy road. On check-out I was astonished to find a further payment of around $130 had been taken from my credit card. After an email exchange I was told that this is for a "facility fee" which I understand covers wifi and a few other basic facilities that any self-respecting hotel, let alone a supposed 4* one, would include in their standard rate. After reading some of the other reviews it seems that lack of transparency with hidden fees/ taking money out of your account without permission, along with poor customer service is a theme with this hotel. I highly suggest looking elsewhere if you're looking for somewhere to stay in NYC.
