I think it was a cute hotel... in the center of the city were all the action is. Groupon offered a good price. Only negative was the lighting in the bed and bathroom. Also the fact that you can hear your hotel neighbors. But I would def go back there!

The hotel is centrally located in Times Square

Being alone!! Proximity to Times Square was great. Early morning Construction outside the second floor window was not. Room was fine, clean, and worth the discounted Groupon prices.

Average hotel with some flaws The hotel was clean and the sheets were changed every day. On night 3 and the morning of day 4 the shower had no hot water which we reported to staff however this was the end of our trip. On the morning of day 4 the fire alarm rung which was badly handled by the hotel. The hotel director did not notify us that this was a fire alarm and simply said “stay in your rooms”. Things like this happen, however the fire alarm was also “malfunctioning” that morning so went off for a prolonged period of time. This put a dampener on the experience.

AVOID - UNLAWFUL CHARGES TO MY CARD 30 MINUTES AFTER CHECKOUT - SCAM HOTEL WITH SCAM ALLEGATIONS I read the reviews online and was sceptical - the smoking fee particularly concerned me to the point where we bought roll on for the trip and I advised all people in my party to spray perfumes etc in the bathroom and use the hairdryer and straighteners etc in there too as I had read that these can trigger false readings on the ‘smoke detectors’. The location of the hotel is perfect, it’s an average base for your stay and served us well the issue came when we checked out without incident and the clerk returned all the security deposits - I feel all the precautions taken had saved us OH WAS I WRONG!!! I checked out at 11:18am and my bank confirmed they have the recreated charges recoded only for a smoking fee to be unlawfully charged to my card at 11:51am!! The alleged event took place at 20:21 the evening before my check out and this was not advised at check out and it took me to return to the hotel twice before leaving for the airport to gain information on this where I was able to present the Manager Richard Lee with bank transactions from the subway that covered the time of this alleged event. The charge has left my account and I have raised this with my bank, the hotel - who 24 hour after my email have still not responded and I have now raised a formal complaint with the State General Attorney and will continue to pursue this unauthorised transaction as I feel the hotel scam their guests AFTER they have checked out. Had this happen use not occurred I would have happily recommended the hotel however AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH!!! I can see that the hotel replies to these reviews and ask consumers to reach out again - from my own experience I have reached out and NOTHING. I have held of posting a review to allow them a chance to respond but the payment has left my account and no response offered to resolve the issue so I feel others potentially looking to book this hotel need to be aware of the game of roulette they play. The manager Richard confirms that even the shower (stem) can trigger these alarms, they do not have control over this and make it clear they cannot help you as the reports only read the air, as I said shower, hair driers and aerosols can cause these sensors to trigger so be warned! Richard and the Clerk who checked me out were very nice and appreciate their understanding and at the time of checking out and been told all my security deposits had been returned I did state I would review my positive experience - unfortunately I am only left confirming what other travellers are saying! This ruined the last day of my stay and my sons 21st birthday - which I would sarcastically like to to thank the hotel for!!! I will be pursuing the charges in a hope that this prevents unlawful deductions for other travellers - I am currently reviewing media outlets to send this experience to. As an overseas tourist they think we cannot access resources and support to challenge their actions! Had I been informed at check out of the charge I could understand but the charges were TAKEN FROM MY CARD WITHOUT KY AUTHORISATION 30 MINUTES AFTER MY CHECKOUT TIME!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID - they’re are many more hotels in this area to stay!!!

Excellent service at the Oyo Times Square The hotel is quite well located, very close to the Broadway (100 meters). The prices are reasonable and the service is quite good. We had a very pleasant experience during the 14 days that we spent there in September/2025. I would like to highlight the excellent service from Maria, who works in the front desk. She was quite nice to deal with, always available to help us with the hotel facilities. Maria was excellent !
