Hotel at a Glance: Paradise Stream

Paradise Stream is nestled amid the forests, lakes, and peaks of northeastern Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. The 1960s brought a flood of publicity for the area that resulted in the Poconos being named the “Honeymoon Capital of the World.” Paradise Stream still maintains that romantic feel; it’s an adults-only property, and many guest rooms still have the heart-shaped tubs that made the resort famous.

  • Get physical with numerous activities including hiking, basketball, and tennis.
  • Indoor activities: duckpin bowling, swimming and hot tub, ping pong, air hockey, video arcade games, billiards,, and fitness equipment.
  • Outdoor fun" bicycling, archery, lawn games, pedal boats, fishing, miniature golf, pickleball
  • Couples massage: unwind in the spa with relaxing body and facial treatments (extra fees apply).
  • Step onto the dance floor at Paradise Stream’s nightclub.

Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains: Hiking, Trout Fishing, and Historical Towns

The Poconos region of northeastern Pennsylvania accounts for some 2,400 square miles of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, and forests. The area has been a popular vacation destination ever since Pennsylvania Quakers opened a hotel here on the Delaware River in 1829. Today, the Poconos draw more than 25 million annual visitors, thanks to year-round recreational opportunities and stunning natural scenery.

The warmer months are a great time to explore the region’s lakes and wooded hills. For spectacular hikes, check out Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, where you can trek to dramatic waterfalls or follow a 27-mile section of the historic Appalachian Trail. A handful of little towns full of antique shops and galleries nestle in the mountains, too. You'll find boutique wine galleries and historical mansions tucked away on country roads, including the late 19th-century Asa Packer Mansion, which is open for tours, in the borough of Jim Thorpe.

No way! Awful! Outdated and gross wouldn’t go if someone paid me. The bed was sullen in the middle, the class tup took three days to fill. We had hornets outside our room. The food was retirement home cafeteria food. The staff was non existent and didn’t help. The place gave me the Ick. Expensive

Great getaway This is the third time my husband and I have stayed and we continue to enjoy ourselves. The staff are great and always willing to make sure your stay is enjoyable. Nice surprise to see our pictures still on the wall at the gift shop by the late Flash. Also, Kenly did an amazing portrait of us this last trip. Overall a great place

relaxing, a little pricy could use updating but will be back food was good, room was nice, a little pricy for what it was, could use some updating, room 427 needs some work. the pool wasnt very warm. the pool light in the pool didnt work.the heat lamp above the massage bed was just a light no heat came from it. the heater in the living room didnt blow warm air we went and bought an electric space heater to help heat the room. there was some rust falling from under the champagne tower that the tub sits on. the fire place had more of a cold down draft so when the fire log was going the smoke came inside the room more then when it went out the chimney. some light switches didnt work right so we had to mess with them to get the closet light and the starlights above the bed to turn on. the bathroom was recently updated and very nice. the toilet flushed hard that could use an update. all and all it was a nice relaxing weekend for my wifes birthday. we will go back just think $1900 for 2 nights with the issues that room had was a little to high
