The Paramount - A Times Square, New York Hotel

Stay at Paramount Hotel – A Times Square Hotel in New York City, with Dates into April

Give as a Gift

Four-Star Pop-Modern Hotel in Times Square

The chic Paramount Hotel was built in 1928 and then transformed by Ian Schrager, cofounder of Studio 54. The hotel building still has its ornate, old–New York façade, but much of the interior has been recently updated. The Paramount Hotel also draws energy from its location directly in Times Square. From here you’re just steps away from all of the Broadway theaters, which probably explains why the hotel’s been a popular hangout for stars such as Liza Minnelli and Daniel Radcliffe.

The modern aesthetic is uniform throughout the refreshed guest rooms with modern white and light-gray decor, and the bathrooms have Philippe Starck–designed stainless-steel sinks shaped like ice-cream cones. Because of the building’s old-fashioned layout, rooms tend to run small in size; stay in one of the deluxe king rooms if you want some extra space, or use the opportunity to explore all that New York City has to offer.

On the ground floor just around the corner from the lobby, Paramount Bar & Grill has a sleek, modern feel with continental cuisine and innovative cocktails.

Times Square, Manhattan: Flashy Neon Lights and World-Class Culture

Times Square is located at the intersection of Broadway and Seventh Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The famous address—affectionately known as “the Crossroads of the World”—is home to hypnotizing billboards, giant wraparound news tickers, and the neon lights of Broadway. Beyond the glitz and gimmicks, there are a number of world-class cultural offerings in the area, ranging from museums to Michelin-rated restaurants. Buildings of historical and architectural interest include the Paramount Building and One Times Square, site of the annual New Year’s Eve ball drop.

Nearby, the Museum of Modern Art houses a trove of masterpieces including Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night, Claude Monet’s waterlily paintings, and Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans. Save time for a stroll through the museum’s outdoor sculpture garden, where dazzling installations are clustered around sparkling reflecting pools. About a mile north of Times Square, the David H. Koch Theater is home to one of the world’s foremost dance companies—the New York City Ballet, which stages contemporary works as well as classics like Swan Lake and The Nutcracker.

Another great deal! The hotel was across the street from where Hamilton is playing. And walking distance from many theaters, restaurants, Time Square, and attractions. The staff was amazing.

Location. Right in the middle of Times Square. Very gloomy inside but that adds to the atmosphere and acts as the antithesis of the madness outside. Great pizza slices just outside and plenty of good places to eat. Times Square Diner was fantastic!
