The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars, and live entertainment, the consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes roulette, blackjack, and poker games. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques in most Las Vegas Strip hotels. Head to LINQ Promenade for a shopping and dining experience, then ride atop the High Roller observation wheel. Thanks to the strip’s re-creation of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and the Roman Empire at Caesars Palace, you can virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks.

Let down on important day Our second trip, booked this time for our special anniversary. Generally ok, comfy bed etc. However, on the 30th sept we had booked a vow renewal and had planned our day out (breakfast, look at shops in the morning and then get ready prior to our journey to the Little white chapel). Unfortunately the lifts were not working so had to find my way from the opposite ones and when we reached the room found the air conditioning wasn’t working and there was no hot water! We contacted front desk who apologised and said they would refund some of our resort fees. We had to get ready as best as we could and the rest of our stay was ok. On return to the UK I found the fees had NOT been refunded and I’ve had no way to contact the hotel (I’m not phoning, too expensive).

Lack of guest amenities The room was ok except for lacking a coffee maker. I am not into gambling so was looking forward to the pool. The water was frigid and even though the air temperature was in the 90s it was very uncomfortable. Most of the deck space was taken up by cabanas that the hotel would rent out so the lounges were very sparse. You had to get there before 9 AM in the morning to secure a lounge. The most disappointing result of my trip was my mistake of leaving some clothes behind in the dresser drawer. I realized my error as soon as I got home and notified the hotel within 24 hours. This is handled by lost and found. My clothing wasn’t lost. It was left behind but OK. They claim that the housekeeping staff bags it and brings it to lost and found so I was confident it would be located right away, and I could pay for the mailing back home. However, that’s not the case, three weeks later, my items still have not turned up and they consider them lost. My conclusion is there either taken or their process is very flawed. No one in management is following up with me other than a canned email. I will never go to planet Hollywood and do not recommend staying there because of the pool area. My clothing issues is my fault but they should have a better process in place.
