The Las Vegas Strip: 24/7 Entertainment and Fine Dining

With an almost unlimited variety of casinos, bars, and live entertainment, the consensus along the Las Vegas Strip seems to be “go big or go home.” And you can go big here. Make a beeline for the dozens of 24-hour casinos lining the neon-lit Strip to tango with Lady Luck in high-stakes roulette, blackjack, and poker games. Be sure to stick around for mealtimes—casinos on the Strip are known for their fine-dining restaurants.

Even Sin City isn’t all casinos, all the time. Go shopping at the high-end boutiques in most Las Vegas Strip hotels. Head to LINQ Promenade for a shopping and dining experience, then ride atop the High Roller observation wheel. Thanks to the strip’s re-creation of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas and the Roman Empire at Caesars Palace, you can virtually travel the globe in just a few city blocks.

Central location in the thick of ‘The Strip’ It holds a centre strip place and is right in the thick of the Las Vegas action. Like all ‘strip’ hotels it is huge and a convenient choice. My room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom had undergone a major refurbishment since my last visit some 10 years ago. There was an in room safe, a stand alone bath and a stand alone shower. But let’s get realistic. Las Vegas hotels are designed to capture your money and don’t want you in your room. So whilst they are comfortable, there is no tea and coffee. You have to go to Starbucks for your morning coffee at around $8 a cup. Room service is hit and miss and when it came it was between 5pm and 6pm. And then there’s the daily ‘resort fee’ to access all the amenities you would access in any other hotel outside Las Vegas - at around $50 a day. The pool area is good and popular. The Miracle Mile shops are part of the complex even if a lot of walking is involved. Staff are a mix of good and OK. Would I stay here again - maybe, maybe not as there is a lot of choice, but what it offers in terms of comfort and location is not to be overlooked.

Never staying here again, we got called liars by the manager Never staying here again! The manager accused me of lying when we mentioned that the room had no hot water. He said his engineers looked at it and there was nothing wrong, and he trusts his engineer so one of us was lying. Then he proceeded to condescendingly tell me there was nothing he could do besides give a small food &drink credit, but we were checking out in 5 hours. How's that going to help me? Other reasons we won't stay here, casino games are expensive and drinks at the pool are $20 a pop. Just not worth it.
