We ended up with a double queen room for some reason, but it's not a big deal. Still a beautiful room. I was looking forward to taking a bath, I was unawares that these rooms dont have baths. But instead they have something better, rain showers. I was so excited about that. I was only able to afford one night but I wish I could have stayed longer. I loved it. Very comfortable and quiet and beautiful. I'll come back next vacation. Hopefully for more than one night.

Kingston, Washington: Waterfront Town on the Kitsap Peninsula

The town of Kingston is on the Kitsap Peninsula, which gets a steady stream of visitors from Seattle thanks to its natural attractions. With more than 250 miles of shoreline surrounding the quiet peninsula, many of its towns sit on the waterfront. Kingston is no exception, overlooking the Appletree Cove with views of the nearby Cascade Range mountains.

In addition to its scenic natural landscape, Silverdale has a history that dates back to 1853, when it began as a lumber town.

A smokers paradise even if you’re not one!! Great hotel very clean and rooms are very comfortable however the huge drawbacks are: the wifi is intermittent and unreliable and the casino is mainly smoking (although they do offer a small section that is nonsmoking), which marks this place with a big X for future visits. Smokers are privileged at this casino at the detriment of nonsmokers who, also have rights too!! It’s really too bad!! The hotel is smoke free or at least the room that we got was.

Get there early This is a small hotel with very comfy beds/linens and a great rain shower (no tub). If you can luck out and get a room that doesn't face the casino parking lot, it's quite nice. If you can manage to get a 4th (top) floor room, it will be fairly quiet. I say "if" because it doesn't seem to matter if you request the 4th floor when booking, and again when they send a pre-stay email asking your preferences. I was told when we got there that it was first-come, first-serve and they had already given out all of their 4th floor rooms. My husband is a super light sleeper and we were put on the 2nd floor. WORST. NIGHT. EVER. This was after the aforementioned double requested 4th floor. The next time we stayed here I had to take half the day off work to get there by 4pm (earliest check-in time) and scored our desired floor. Hotel parking is full if you don't get there by 7pm. Plan to park VERY far across the casino lot from the hotel. They will argue that you get what you pay for (we get comped 2-4 nights a month) and I shouldn't complain. Just trying to be real. We stayed here once when there was a freezing rain storm and law enforcement told everyone to stay off the roads. The hotel would not give any extra time for check-out as they had reserved many of the hotel rooms for casino STAFF to stay in because of the storm. Like anywhere, some staff are great, others are horrible. The food in Kloomachin and Point Julia Cafe is pretty darn good. Joey in the Point Julia Cafe is absolutely wonderful. The slots are hit-or-miss, but most often we can play for several hours before we're broke. lol

Great casino! We love this casino! They have generous food and free play comps, and machines payout alot more than Clearwater Casino. Cigarette smoke is strong but doesn't bother us. Most of the time we walk away with a profit. Food and staff at the Kloomachin is great and Point Julia Cafe is also great! Always a fun time at The Point!
