We love the peacefulness of Point Look. The cabins are very private, and set such that there is great privacy. This is our third time here. We love it!!

Lincolnville, Maine: Quaint Village Along Scenic Midcoast

Lincolnville is one of the charming villages situated along the rocky, 1,000-mile-long coast of Penobscot Bay. Fishing, hiking, sailing, kayaking, and biking are just a few of the ways you can immerse yourself in this beautiful region, known to locals as the Midcoast. In nearby Camden Hills State Park, you’ll find Bald Rock Trail, which was hailed by Departures magazine as one of the world’s most-scenic walks. The half-mile hike culminates in a showstopping view of Camden Harbor and Cadillac Mountain.

A number of niche museums are scattered throughout the area. The Owls Head Transportation Museum displays vintage sports cars, airplanes, and 19th-century bicycles. And the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland celebrates Maine’s vital contributions to American art. Among its holdings are Winslow Homer’s New England Coast – Sailing Ships in Harbor and several works by Andrew Wyeth.
