San Diego, California: Electric Nightlife and Historical Attractions

San Diego's sunny, comfortably warm weather and 70 miles of coastline have long attracted out-of-towners, but the city's inland scene is no slouch, either. The Gaslamp Quarter is arguably the trendiest listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The area forms both the historic center of town and a hub of nightlife, with nearly 100 Victorian-era buildings occupied by high-end boutiques and gourmet restaurants.

A stroll through iconic Balboa Park takes you past 17 museums, as well as the world-famous San Diego Zoo. There's also the vibrant Spanish Village Art Center, a living gallery where local artists produce pottery and oil paintings. In Old Town, shops in Mission-style stucco buildings sell colorful woven baskets and maracas. Nearby stands the Whaley House Museum, dubbed one of the Most Terrifying Places in America by the Travel Channel. Ghosts of former residents are said to inhabit the rooms, which are filled with Victorian furniture and eerie dolls.

Low quality, cheap, roach motel not hotel. I will not purchase anymore Groupon “hotel” deals. You get what you pay for.

Read the reviews outside of Groupon. For us check in was quick an easy until we found out later they had actually checked us in as somebody else and charged my card. We did get this all fixed. The room was not very clean..Yuck. I found trash from the previous guests. Taco Bell wrappers and olive garden trash. We did not go to these places during our stay. There was only a recycle bin no trash can. They don't have a pool they have a "spool" no joke .. check out time we called ahead so our car would be ready. When we got to Valet they had no information that we had even called ahead. Valet isn't the quickest or the most organized. . I could easily get passed everything except the cleanliness. We basically only used the room to sleep and shower the rest of the time we were out and about. Not worth the Groupon on this one.

The Hotel is NOT UP to the Groupon Description. The Lobby is nice, but the room was minimalistic. The Restaurant and Bar were closed, and they are understaffed at this time. Their Parking is EXPENSIVE, and street parking is subject to limits. Be Careful! Give them a chance Post Covid.
