Kissimmee, Florida: Easy Access to World-Famous Theme Parks and Major Orlando Attractions

Located on the banks of Lake Tohopekaliga, Kissimmee sits about 22 miles from downtown Orlando and just 16 miles from the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. The world’s most-visited entertainment resort spans roughly 30,000 acres, encompassing four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day at Magic Kingdom® Park by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. After that, ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. For dinner, head over to Epcot® to sample cuisine from Morocco, Mexico, France, Italy, and several other countries. As one of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is home to other theme parks including Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as the CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which holds improv shows five nights a week.

The shower was wonderful, the paid for buffet breakfast not so good next time I will skip Everything was good the only thing I would change is the height of the bed. I’m on the short side 5ft 2 in and over 60 so jumping up into bed is dangerous for me. I have fallen in the past due to a bed to high to get into and injured myself which took a few months to improve

Clean, quick and polite service! Never had a check in so fast. Front desk Kannard made sure it was done fast and he was very pleasant and polite. Room was very clean and A/C was cold. Not the newest type of rooms but does the job.

Great value. Don’t rely on the shuttle busses Overall I was happy with my stay. I booked this hotel as the price was excellent and was close by to the Disney Parks and within reasonable proximity of the Universal Parks. The facility is a little old and dated. I found out during my stay this area is the old Disney area before all their resorts were built. The room was very spacious, had room for a table plus 2 beds, a separate area with sink, fridge, microwave and coffee machine plus a bathroom. The facilities at the hotel were excellent, the pool was large and clean. There was family activity space. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was due to the free theme park shuttle bus. Unfortunately it failed to mention this was an extremely limited service that got you to the parks well after the opening time and you had 2 options to return home - one being around 5pm and the other being more than an hour after closing time. I did not use this service at all and encountered unexpected Uber costs. There were laundry facilities which were easy to access, however the dryers were old and failed to dry my 1 load of washing after paying for 3 uses - each being 33 minutes long. It was extremely convenient that Walmart was next door. There were also plenty of Disney gift stores and food options around the area. If you are looking for a low cost stay and don’t mind getting to theme parks late, or purchasing Ubers then this is great value for money. They appeared to have plenty of car parking spaces if you had a hire car too.
