Kissimmee, Florida: Easy Access to World-Famous Theme Parks and Major Orlando Attractions

Located on the banks of Lake Tohopekaliga, Kissimmee sits about 22 miles from downtown Orlando and just 16 miles from the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks. The world’s most-visited entertainment resort spans roughly 30,000 acres, encompassing four theme parks, two water parks, five golf courses, and the Disney Springs® Area. There’s no shortage of things to do here: begin your day at Magic Kingdom® Park by boarding a rocket-shaped three-seater that climbs to 180 feet before entering a deep black tunnel and racing past stars, satellites, and constellations. After that, ride a dune buggy through a haunted mansion. For dinner, head over to Epcot® to sample cuisine from Morocco, Mexico, France, Italy, and several other countries. As one of the most popular family destinations in the world, sunny Orlando is home to other theme parks including Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

Those hoping to shake up the typical theme-park-dominated itinerary can head into downtown Orlando's vibrant arts district. The neighborhood boasts venues such as the CityArts Factory, a multifaceted patchwork of gallery spaces, and SAK Comedy Lab, which holds improv shows five nights a week.

The bed was the most comfortable one I ever slept in! I took a small Vacay just for rest and relaxation and that is exactly what I got. The hotel has lots of amenities, including basketball court, volleyball, mini golf and two pools. It’s a fun place to relax.

Beware they will charge you more than what your reservation says and try to say you did something to room! If I could get this place zero stars I would. So many things that were wrong. I was charged more than the Wyndham app that I always book through had as my total. When I questioned it, I was told that was on Wyndham. I had to call them to get them to adjust the difference. However, when I checked out the front desk clerk said I had been overcharged but didn’t give a refund for the difference. Secondly, I have stayed here many times and never had problems like this stay. I leave and I see charges that are trying to be made on my CC. I call them and the front desk tell me it is for damages to the room which was ludicrous. She puts me through to the manager of housekeeping and she says it was a smell in the room and they were cleaning the floors and I was being charged for it. The smell would have been Lysol. I went to 2 concerts this past weekend and I wasn’t feeling well when I left so I was being thoughtful enough to spray the room so no one would get sick. So they were smelling Lysol. She says she will send a video of the evidence. The video had my room number and then an area which had my trash in a bag tied up on the counter that I would have gladly tossed for them if their trash cans had not been overrunning. When I call back, no one could tell what was really going on. All they could say was I had been overcharged, they were trying to charge my card two different prices for cleaning (which that is what housekeeping is for) and then said well maybe it’s for a pet fee. I had a service dog that had been checked in upon arrival and noted when the reservation was made. No one knew anything that was correct. Very incompetent staff working there and not friendly at all. I was told they would try to run my card again. Well I guess not since they owe me money still. Then I was told I would be put on the no rent list. Well I consider that a blessing after how I was treated as this so called motel. Beware before you stay here! I had stayed here before and no problems but then they screwed me over and took money from me this time!

Ok stay The bedroom is nice, but the bathroom needs an update. We booked this hotel because it had shuttles to Disney, but the drop-off time is really late. Aprox at 10am, when the parks open at 9am. We had to uber in and out of Disney, which was a cost we didn't count on. But overall it was an ok stay.
