San Diego, California: Electric Nightlife and Historical Attractions

San Diego’s sunny, comfortably warm weather and 70 miles of coastline have long attracted out-of-towners, but the city’s inland scene is no slouch, either. The Gaslamp Quarter is arguably the trendiest listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The area forms both the historic center of town and a hub of nightlife, with nearly 100 Victorian-era buildings occupied by high-end boutiques and gourmet restaurants.

A stroll through iconic Balboa Park takes you past 17 museums, as well as the world-famous San Diego Zoo. There’s also the vibrant Spanish Village Art Center, a living gallery where local artists produce pottery and oil paintings. In Old Town, shops in Mission-style stucco buildings sell colorful woven baskets and maracas. Nearby stands the Whaley House Museum, dubbed one of the Most Terrifying Places in America by the Travel Channel. Ghosts of former residents are said to inhabit the rooms, which are filled with Victorian furniture and eerie dolls.

Relaxing Getaway My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. My wife was particularly thrilled with her spa treatment, massage, and the top-notch amenities provided. Dining at AVANT was an incredible experience. The food was delicious, and the ambiance added to our enjoyment. The highlight of our stay, however, was the staff. Every member we encountered was professional, helpful, and exceptionally kind, making our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend the Rancho Bernardo Inn for anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious getaway.

Love love love this place Thee absolute best golf resort I've been to. A1 service, beautiful rooms and amazing service! Felt very well taken care of. They had a wedding this weekend and the live music was so good, we lit the fireplace on our patio and danced the night away! Just awesome, can't wait to come back.

Disappointing. On the surface this is a pleasant hotel/inn. BUT, no one answers the phone when you try to reach them. Th rooms are tired and need help. Housekeeping does a shoddy job. It is meant for groups, not individuals. It seems as though the management just doesn’t care.
