Less than what is expected from the standards of Marriott Despite the fact that the hotel concept and location are very good, the quality of cleaning, room service, and maintenance of the infrastructure has dropped significantly. For example, you can often find hairs (female) on the towels, likely from hotel staff working with laundry or who is busy with cleaning of the rooms. In the restrooms upon check-in, hair can be seen everywhere. The quality of the bed linen also leaves much to be desired; for instance, in the photograph, you can see how worn the sheets are. In the restrooms, the toilet seats are worn out and not clean. The water pressure from the shower is very weak; it seems that a restrictor has been installed in the line. The bed linen needs to be replaced. Overall, it can be concluded that there is a lack of quality control at all stages of service, and primarily, there is a lack of oversight over the housekeeping staff. Therefore, hotel management needs to establish proper standards for maintenance, service, and cleaning of the hotel that will eventually be in line with the Marriott brand. At the moment, this is not evident.

Stay somewhere else… Decent property but not up to Marriott standards. This place is more like a an average motel. AC worked well but sounded like an old engine knocking each time it ran. Bed comfort was less than expected and both the bath/shower and sink drain were disgustingly slow. Finally, front desk agent ensured a 2PM late checkout - not only was this not honored but after some last minute sight-seeing came back to room being completely turned over for next guest @ 10:30 AM (prior to 11AM normal checkout). Complete lack of communication between front desk and barely English-speaking cleaning staff. By this point I was just through with the whole ordeal and just wished I’d made a better choice of property. Took my bags (luckily already packed and in the closet) and left. Avoid this property as it is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand.

"OK" Extended Stay, Better to Shop Around After reading the glowing reviews, I feel a little let down. Older property with some outdated furniture, bathroom sink drained slow and if you turn the temperature up or down a degree, unit would start chugging and groaning and making all kinds of weird noises. The water pressure was so low, I could not take a shower. The lid to the lotion I was given had a broken cap. The room did have a couple of updated functions like lamps with plugins. No in room safe, and no elevators for second floor. I don't care to stay on the first floor for several reasons, including having to keep the curtains closed, making it dark inside. Otherwise people can look inside your unit walking through the complex. Had someone who sounded like an elephant staying up above me who was stomping and dropping things all the time. Also a lot of loud car traffic outside. Breakfast was average, but nice to have. Found a short, dark hair on my sheet when I pulled the covers back and it wasn't mine, although the rest of the bedding seemed clean. Did not make for a restful sleep. Didn't appreciate housekeeping knocking at my door 2 hours before checkout. I called and asked about the sign on the desk about car prowlers and asked if they had security and the desk guy really loudly (training tip here) no, we don't have security here! It is roomy and has what you need, especially for longer stays.

Terrible hotel, amenities (like AC) don't work, look elsewhere in Seattle! TL:DR - if you don't care about AC, being able to get into your hotel room or considerate staff, this is a great hotel for you. If any of those things matter, I'd advise you consider another property. Before you begin reading this review, let me first say that it was incredibly sad for me to have to write. I've been a longtime Marriott enthusiast for years and have stayed at number of their properties across all of the tiers. It was actually that experience that compelled me to write this review. I expect better of Marriott because I've seen them do better. This experience, discussed below, does not meet their standard. While this experience is an outlier for this brand, it's worth calling out so that others can make informed decisions. In my almost 2+ years of stays at Marriott property, this was the first time I felt compelled to write a review. Horrific hotel, no emphasis from the staff on either customer service or even basic care. Our room had no toilet paper, functioning AC and the lock was broken, just to name a few issues and it was only the first night. I was also extremely disappointed in the staff and their inability and frankly what seemed to me to be "disintrest" in addressing the issues. - The never offered to send over additional toilet paper (strange, I know?) - When I told them the AC didn't work after arriving back to our hotel after 10 PM at night, they advised me to wait "awhile" in case it had "frozen over". After waiting half an hour, we spoke again and they told me it would take a minimum of another 30 minutes for their maintenance manager to come out and take a look. When I inquired about another room, the hotel AGM (Angie) asked if I would be better if I could be somewhere else since the property "didn't mean my expectations". You set these expectations when advertising your property. You set the expectations by making it clear you offered AC, rooms we could actually enter and bathrooms in your hotel rooms. If expecting to be provided with AC, a room I can physically enter and toilet paper is "too high of a bar" to reach...maybe you should consider raising your bar. The sad thing is is that all it would have taken was a little bit of understanding and empathy from the staff and a promise to address the issue in a convenient manner in order to avoid this review. Apparently, this was too much to ask for.
