Won't be coming back The place appeared to be a cluster of run-down apartment buildings that were bought out and converted into a Residence Inn. The ONLY great thing about this stay was the location being right a crossed the street from the Ontario Convention Center, within walking distance. Still, it's a bit of a walk to the entrance but here are the things I noticed that just shouldn't be. Won't be coming back! 1. The first thing I noticed upon attempting to enter the room was that the door's auto closer at front door was set SO tight you have to fight it with your weight to get in every time then if you got in, good luck getting out! The lock was finicky and didn't open easy it took a few tries every time and even the maintenance guy who came bye to replace a light bulb, struggled with it to get back out! 2.The first thing I noticed was the rundown, worn out furniture on the kitchen chairs cracked and worn beyond belief. 3. The second thing I noticed was the room was full of mosquitos and ants. We were constantly killing mosquitos and gnats and ants trying to be rid of them the entire first day. 4. ALL handles, shelves, towel bars and faucets BADLY needed replacement. they were all loose and not easy to use at all. 5. Carpets were filthy when doing a wet rag test and red stain spot in the bathroom entrance area. 6. No one ever came to clean throughout the course of our 3 day stay even after stopping by the front desk on the second day after which the front desk attendant said she would let housekeeping know to clean the next day after we were away after 11:00 am. Didn't happen. Not to mention the reason we had to stop by the front desk in the first place was that there was NO conditioner meaning these things were NOT checked before check in! 7. Fridge setting wasn't checked before check in either, we came back to food that was frosted like a freezer! 8. Shower floor was black and dirty upon check in and water pressure would fade in and out from weak to strong. 9. Bedside wall mounted lights were crooked and loose. 10. Pictures online are very misleading and NOT representative of the quality. 11. Sketchy area and other people staying there smoking weed outside. 12. Coffee maker wouldn't even turn on and was dirty in the water reservoir and felt would rather not use it and take the chance. When just one of these issues is enough to make me question the integrity of how everything else is done by whoever is running the show, need I say more? I think 5 bullets prove my point, but when you hit 12 ... needless to say I left NO tip because nothing was even ever done! Anyone considering the price to location "advantage." Please take it from me who stayed here so you don't have to....spend $40 more for somewhere closer and decent. You might regret it!

Gross Don't expect them to clean your room or bring you amenities when you need them or hours later... The beds are pretty stained, I'm guessing from people staying here long term with non-potty trained kids. Overall a gross place to stay.

SMELL CIGARETTES AND HOTEL WORN OUT Check-in was actually a great experience. The front desk attendant, Enid, did an excellent job checking us in—she explained directions clearly and was very sweet and professional. Unfortunately, despite the great service at check-in, the overall stay did not meet expectations. The hotel feels very worn down and unclean, with visible signs of neglect throughout the property. Upon entering my room, there was a strong cigarette smell, even though this is a non-smoking hotel. I chose not to complain at the time because Enid was so helpful and I didn’t want that to affect our stay. We were told there were no extra room keys available, but the next day they would have some since they were waiting for the new keys to come by mail which I initially understood—the next day I go ask for an extra key and they said they didn’t have any yet later on thru the week, there were still no keys. The layout and structure of the hotel are very confusing and made the property feel unsafe and uncomfortable. While the staff member at check-in was wonderful, the condition and management of the hotel are the reasons for the low rating.
