Honest review of the Sandcastle Oceanfront Resort!! I my family and I stayed at room 412 on the fourth floor for four days. We had a beautiful view of the ocean, however, the room we stayed in had unsanitary appliances. The hairdryer had mold, and the bedsheets were not comfy. The coffee maker was unusable because it looked unsanitary. As soon as we walked in the first night, the was not properly cleaned. We asked for a change of hair dryer and the replacement that they brought us was still slightly moldy. We were not able to use that one either because it was not installed. Even the kitchen, small as it was, also seen unsanitary. The stove had not been sufficiently cleaned, with it also being bent and unkept. The bed fabric and blankets were also proven to be itchy and coarse. The bathtub had uneven slant to the floor, which had us prone to falling when we used it. Overall, while the view had been amazing, the rooms that we had stayed at were far from ideal.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Sandy Beaches, Golf Courses, and Classic Amusement-Park Rides

Myrtle Beach is the crown jewel of South Carolina's Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of white-sand beaches along the Atlantic seaboard that draws surfers, fishers, and kayakers. The city was named one of the best vacation spots in the United States for a family by USA Today, in part because of its wooden boardwalk, which stretches for more than a mile and buzzes with carnival games and amusement-park rides. Hop into the SkyWheel Ferris wheel’s gondolas, surrounded by more than a million LED lights, for a panoramic view of the city below.

Less than 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach, the tiny fishing village of Murrells Inlet provides a tranquil contrast to the boardwalk's hustle and bustle. At Brookgreen Gardens, more than 2,000 sculptures stand amid sprawling floral gardens and massive, moss-covered oak trees that have been around for centuries. Murrells Inlet is also home to the Tom Fazio–designed TPC Myrtle Beach golf course, 1 of nearly 100 courses in the area that helped Myrtle Beach earn its title as the seaside golf capital of the world.

FEAR FOR YOUR LIFE‼️‼️‼️‼️ This place is DANGEROUS!!! Your health and safety are BOTH at RISK!!! I didn’t waste time taking pics of the 2 ROOMS I was shown after my original plans to stay in an updated room there was screwed up ‘by a manager’. I won’t let my dog sleep there!! There was SO MANY things wrong with the 2 units I viewed I was like OMG I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night!!! From the awful SMELL in the room and in the hallways, the DIRT everywhere in both rooms was beyond DISGUSTING‼️

Horrible The worst experience ever! Filthy and insecure place. unfriendly staff and not responsive. Charged my credit card $ 84.75 for no reason after they inspect the room and cleared me. The pictures don't reflect the reality of this filthy place. Had to tip the worker to get the room cleaned.

False advertisement of rooms This a nasty place. The pictures on the website are from when they first opened. So false advertisement. The sheets on the bed was dirty. There weren’t any comforters. Mold was on the lamp. The shower had rust. The smell of the room was very moldy smelling. The smoke detector was beeping. The key card wasn’t working properly. Had to keep going to front desk to get the cards redone. This was room 617. Lastly the water wouldn’t get hot.Since I booked through booking.com I had to file a complaint with them who wasn’t any help. This so called resort needs to be deemed unsafe! The last 2 photos are the room we were supposed to have. But as you can see our room at check in. This is ridiculous

Positively, decided to enjoy my vacations with my family, regardless, of the bad customer services experience I had. I go once a year to Myrtle beach. The restroom sink was clogged & tv not working when we go there. I was told maintainance would be sent, but never came. I never had problems anywhere like I had in this resort. Stayed for 5 days. Called & went twice to the front desk to request for pans & utensils which were never delivered. Had to call a day before twice and going to the front desk again to request for housekeeping. I only got clean towels, trash thrown out once in the 5 days I stayed. If you want toilet paper for 3, forget it _. Front desk doesn't answer the phone. Very bad customer service. I stopped requesting for things they were supposed to provide & bought them at a supermarket to have time and enjoy my vacations with my children _
