I read all the others reviews and I got the deluxe Suite and it was awesome the food was great the liquor was great the beach was great of course the buffets I do not eat off of I ordered off the menu I was a gold member at a very cheap price that I got off of Groupon and yes there is construction next door but that didn't bother me none I had a ball and even at the gold member we had our own rest

Good, but avoid the sales pitch So, all things aside, this resort is pretty decent for an all-inclusive experience. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, food is almost always available at the buffet restaurant if the others are too packed, and the service from the staff is impeccable. The little shops are cute and have everything you might need. The kids water park is also a big plus for families. The down sides: rooms are a little dated and some things are falling apart (i.e., the handle on our balcony door kept falling off and the toilet couldn’t be flushed for a while after being flushed by someone else) not enough outlets in rooms for devices, no way to hang towels in your room which is kind of important with a beach resort, they don’t give you wash cloths or hand towels, cold showers only, and AC really only exists in your hotel room and is not great in the common areas. That being said, the biggest downfall of staying here is that you can’t walk through the lobby or talk to a concierge about excursions without being pressured into hearing a sales pitch for their Luxury Travel Club. So here’s the scoop for those getting into this situation for a discounted excursion like we did…. My husband and I were roped into hearing the sales pitch for the Infinity Travel Club in exchange for a discounted excursion from the concierge. It was the most ridiculous experience of my life. They have a very friendly rep treat you to breakfast at their “exclusive” lighthouse restaurant at the hotel. (This restaurant supposedly only allows infinity members to have breakfast in it while normal guests of the all inclusive resort have to use the non-airconditioned buffet restaurant) Then they give you a tour of the two largest and most luxurious suites at the top level of the hotel (and this is when you realize where all the AC and hot water in the hotel is going, lol). Then they separated my husband and I from our kids by offering them video games in a childcare room on the “VIP level” which was a little alarming, but I guess they were just keeping them entertained while the real pitch was given to us by a large man-child who vigorously scribbled things that didn’t even make sense on a giant pad of paper while explaining this travel agency-type website they were selling access to (he abruptly stood up and stormed off after we told him we weren’t interested, like a giant toddler throwing a fit). The whole time he was pitching this service to us the woman who treated us to breakfast and a tour was visibly nervous and unable to sit still, which my husband and I both observed and found unnerving. Once I realized what they were trying to sell me was just another version of Expedia with promises of exclusive last minute deals to fancy penthouse suites, and I would have to commit to anywhere between a 10-30 year long subscription they pretty much lost me. But I thought, well I guess if this is like a $20 per month subscription I might consider it… but then they threw out numbers that just didn’t even make sense at all for what they were offering. I’m talking about a down payment of over $14000 on top of close to $1000 monthly for 3 years for the lowest time commitment of 10 years of access to the platform. And the amounts kept shifting every time some new con artist came to talk to us (you have to sit through 4 different people pitching when you say no to the first and the whole experience does NOT take 90 minutes like they promise, it’s more like 2.5 hours.) I’m totally convinced this is a money laundering scheme and no one actually says yes to this scam. And the few people eating in the Lighthouse restaurant each morning are completely staged. Lol During the pitch they keep telling you not to compare what they are offering to American timeshare scams but honestly, a time share would’ve been a better deal because at least you’d get some guaranteed time at the resort out of it, so I just don’t understand people falling for this. They were literally offering nothing in return for thousands of dollars. I couldn’t have even handed over that amount of money in one sitting if I wanted to, especially after paying for a vacation. So, overall this hotel was decent and my family was happy with it, but steer clear of the sales pitch. We learned you don’t really need the concierge. Use Uber to get around, just stay in the hotel zone where there’s plenty to do and tons of security. And go through the excursion guides directly. If you don’t speak Spanish, there’s a good chance someone working there speaks enough English for you to get by. And carry a bunch of US dollars for tips.

Worst Experience Ever! BOOKERS BEWARE!!! We booked this resort on July 15 2024, when we arrived our room wasn't ready and so we decided to go the beach and have some drinks and swim with the kids. After about 2 hour or so me and wife had a few drinks and one of the lifeguards had interrupted my wife and son playing in the water. I approached the life guard had told the lifeguard that my wife was bipolar to please address me if they have any concern with anything. I then decided to go check-on the room and see if it was ready. When I came back 4 hotel workers and 2 lifeguards were holding my wife down. I told them to back off her and what the issues is. They told me she yellled at the lifegaurd to leave her alone and then the others got involved to try to calm her down. I requested them to let me speak to her and try to calm her down, they refused access to her. They had her block off as if it was crime scene. I continued to plead with them saying let me through to give her, her meds and speak with her and that I could calm her down. After a few minutes of the 5 grown men held her down, she struggled to try to get away, then HOTEL decided that she was being violent. HOW WOUD YOU FEEL BEING HELD DOWN BY 5 GROWN MEN? They ultimately took to her to a side area of the hotel and put her some form of straight jacket. Once the police came they arrested her and took her the station only 4 blocks away. After speaking to police, they gave you 2 options pay 800 cash or let her stay in jail 36 hours. Once my wife was booked in, she poke with not 1 but 2 different guest who both were staying Seadust that were in the there for the same thing. Drunken disorderly conduct and were offered the same deal, pay or stay in there. I feel since there was more than 1 guest from the same hotel there, this HOTEL is working with the local police get people arrest and collecting large payouts to them out. I paid the 800 and was never given a receipt or form of proof of payment. On top of all that the HOTEL didnt allow my wife back on the permission and wouldn’t even refund the entire week we paid for 4890. Almost 5K lost and they resort made had no effort to help. We didn’t even stay 1 single day at the HOTEL and we didn’t get anything in return. So I would be very careful booking this HOTEL they are very unprofessional and try to trip people off.

Nice family vacation I was so scared of coming here reading the most recent reviews. It was our first vacation with our 2.5, years old and I didn't want to have a bad experience. We stayed at Seadust from July 31 to August 4. First of all, if you don't have kids, don't come here. It is a family resort, so if you want luxurious vacations, go somewhere else. It's also not a 5 star hotel but for the price we paid, I think the price was fair for what we got out of it. We stayed in a family room with bunk beds. Our son loved it and it gave us privacy once he was sleeping. The AC was working fine, but we also kept the curtains closed during the day to avoid the sun heating up the room. We did find one small cockroach the first day, but that was it. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The shower was not moldy. The food was great. Lots of kid options, always fresh fruits, vegetables, Mexican dishes, seafood, meat and bread. The desserts were ok but my son loved them. We went to the Big Ben restaurant on Friday night because the buffet was closed, and the food was better quality. The restaurants have a kid menu so if your child is picky like ours, at least they can have chicken nuggets. The restaurants all have AC. The hotel is hot. The buffet is also very hot with just fans, but you get used to it after a few times. I mean you're in Cancun during summer, so you can expect to sweat a bit, but it's fine. We didn't see any coachroaches at the buffet and trust me, I looked for it because it was one of the recent reviews that was terrifying me. The pools are ok. Our son loved it. They're somewhat clean for a family resort with lots of kids. I didn't see anything dirty floating in the water. The water was hot but still refreshing. The beach is nice, the waves were very strong when we went. There are not a lot of palapas, but if you play in the water, you'll be fine. The waterpark is dated and our son was scared to do the slides, but the older kids there seemed to have a lot of fun. There's also the kids club in that area. There's no AC there but it's in the shade so it's still cooler than the rest of the resort. Our son loved playing there. You can also leave your child there for a period of 2h free. We didn't, but it's a great option. Overall, we were expecting the worst and it wasn't that bad at all. Of course, it's not a luxurious stay but if you have kids, they will have fun for sure.
